Thank you for your amazing recipe!! The conchas were so yummy!!! They brought me back to my childhood in California. Where I live now, there are no conchas so I was so happy when I made your recipe and it turned out so perfectly. They were still soft the next day. I just wanted to add that I proofed the yeast in the warm milk before adding it to the flour. Thanks again!!!

Omgggg thank you SOOOOO much girl!!! You rock!! You are the BOMB!!! I made these yesterday and they came out soo good!! My mom and I loved them. I did however mix it in a bowl instead of putting it on a counter because I don't have room like that unfortunately. Also the bake time for me was different. My oven was the same temp but unfortunately, some of them burned slightly at the bottom when I left them for 15 minutes. So next time I will try to bake them for 10 minutes instead of 15. I also used a toothpick to make sure they were cooked thoroughly in the middle. Other then that you should be fine. Happy baking!!!

Your Grandma was right about the dough farting! The “farts” are the sound of the gas made by the yeast because it is growing and fermenting the flour in your dough! So once you hear those farts, your dough is ready for its rise. The dough farts are real, thanks grandma 🤗❤️

@ejohnson31314 жыл бұрын
Alex Pacheco - Yeah, I always knew that's the reason they're called conchas. Though I brought Mexican bread for my employees one time and I said to one of them "comete una concha" and some of them started laughing. I work with Peruvians, Colombians, Puerto Ricans, Venezuelans... I guess in some countries "concha" means something else.
