Good tutorial but there is absolutely no reason for the God-awful music.

What do you use to get a clean cut on the pipe? Hacksaw or a plumber style pipe cutter? Or something else? The plumber style cutter is great but takes time!
@TEAMR4ULTV2 жыл бұрын
It's a brake pipe cutter. That's what is go to local spare shop and they should have one. Around £5 to £10

These fittings are safe? I'm in the US and came across one, we don't use them here so I'm wondering if I should keep it? One of them has held up for a long time
@TEAMR4ULTV2 жыл бұрын
They are totally safe we use them in uk and have been using them for years.

@@TEAMR4ULTV sweet.. never saw them before but my car has one, took forever to find out what it was I thought maybe compression fitting... Once I saw there is a bubble flare I thought it should be ok though

How about a video on the tool itself. Did you make it or is it produced by some company
@TEAMR4ULTV3 жыл бұрын
No I didn't make it bought from a shop. You can find them on eBay, just type in brake pipe flaring tool
@martynj-c49659 ай бұрын
So what you mean by OP1 and OP2 is SAE single or double flares ....

Yes that's correct

Copper lines are not rated for the same pressure as steel or nickel copper , they are not legal for use in the USA except if oem on an antique auto with LOW PRESSURE brakes I have never seen these on the hundreds of antique autos that I have worked on
@TEAMR4ULTV3 жыл бұрын
In the uk we have been using them for years its legal in the uk. Plus steel eventually starts to corrode I have never had trouble with the copper brake pipes I have been using them for 20 years

DO NOT use copper for bake pipes. Copper is not rated for the pressures of modern vehicle brakes.
@TEAMR4ULTV Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching really appreciate it. I'll be honest in the uk we have been using copper brake pipes for ever since I could remember. Even mot wise it's a pass
