Do you think I would have to rinse the corn if I used fresh corn?

Hi Erin! Yes, but you'll still need to make sure to use dried corn for the nixtamilzation process.

@@TacoGear so is fresh corn not suggested? I was thinking about a growing the corn and making maseca. I would still need to dry it out to get the correct results?

@@erinmartin4325 So Fresh corn would not work, It has to be dried on the cob after being harvested. It has to be an heirloom variety, not the GMO yellow corn that is the most prevalent in the USA.
