I've eaten corn pudding most of my 65 years of life. Delicious! My mom made it all the time. I've always made it for my family. Goes great with green bean casserole and pork chops. Or greens and smoked turkey!

Mae Mae, this corn puddin' looks wonderful. My family all gets together every Thanksgiving, and my cousin fixes it every year-my mama used to bring it every year until she passed away in 2010, and we all loved it so much, that my cousin took over the responsibility of making it every year. It's one of my favorite Thanksgiving Day sides! Makes me think of mama everytime I taste it. I'm going to buy me some creamed corn and make a pan of it tomorrow! I love your channel and really enjoy watching you cook. It's nice to see seasoned, good cooks share their knowledge and hints and tips with beginning cooks, and even other seasoned cooks. None of us knows everything, and I myself, really appreciate picking up tips from others! Thanks for sharing your experience with all of us~

Oh my goodness Mae that looks so delicious!!! My aunt gave me a recipe called she calls Corn Casserole , I use 2 cans cream corn, 2 can whole kernel corn, ( yellow or white)1 block of Cream cheese cubed and about 1/2- 1 cup heavy cream, 1 stick of butter cubed. Pour into a 9x13 ( I put mine on a cookie sheet) Bake it at 350 for about 45- 60 minutes until slightly brown or to your liking. (But my oven varies in temperature) It will still be slightly liquid when you pull it out, but firms ups a little when cooled off. I hope you test it sometime. It’s delicious also. Thank you for sharing.

This evening is my first time seeing your show. I had to click play when I saw the name of your channel, Mae Mae's Happy Table. I have never had corn pudding. I am 51, and I have seen it twice at potlucks about 30 years span! In each case, it was provided by a young lady with heritage from the Caribbean---Guyana and The Bahamas. You sound like my husband's people out of North Carolina, and like church women I would have liked to listen to and watch at church as a child, or like distant relatives at a family reunion where you feel right at home and belong. Thanks for sharing your recipe and happy kitchen. Now that I see what is in that corn pudding, I might try it. (I sometimes wonder how to make spoon bread. That is an idea.)

When I got older I realize... I was just in the way... I wasn't doing a darn thing. Lol😂😂 Happy Holidays!!

On your back porch with sweet ice tea and just listen to you talk. I understand you. You my kind of people. Did you grade your corn with a jar lid with holes poked in “ inside out” with a 10 penny nail? Then easy to scrape the cob with the edge of the lid!! Good living Mrs. Mae Mae So glad I found you.

Ty for adding that clip. But in the future it would be wonderful to see you scoop up a bite so we can see how it looks in consistency. The whole issue I’m having is the consistency. I’m looking for a semi custardy but not too runnie form. Last one I made I used 2 cans cream corn and I ended up draining out so much liquid many times. Yours doesn’t look liquid at all. That’s why I can’t wait to try yours
