Yes! Just take ANY video or still image into the timeline, hit the freeze frame button at the top of the timeline. Keep the 3 second still it created and delete the rest. Then drag that out to any duration you want and do the rest of the stuff I show in the video.

Is there a quick was you crop all of your clips to one second - I;m making a funky countdown and I can't see an easy way to crop all 10 numbers to 1 second. the copy attributes doesn't seem to include duration. Ive tried highlighting all 10 and grabbing the end to pull it back to 10 seconds but it pulls from both ends so I can't see when it's 10 seconds

Just do the FIRST number - and get it exactly how you want it, right at one second and cropped/scaled/positioned/masked precisely. THEN copy and past THAT 9 more times in the timeline. Then all you have to do is change the number for each one.

Hi Trevor , love the videos , thanks for sharing your knowledge . I have a question about Capcut, when you add a lot of sound effects, filters , overlay, captions etc... capcut seems to spread everything out really far from the main timeline on multiple different tracks. Is there a way to bring or condense everything back closer to the main timeline or a way to prevent it ?

Good question! Just move all like items to the same track. Video on one track, text on aonther, graphics on another. As you consolidate, Capcut will remove empty tracks.

yes! select the clip in the timeline, then an icon will appear at the top of the timeline with scissors in a box "transcript based editing". Click that dude and you have a few options, like removing pauses. it's pretty cool, not perfect, but can get you pretty far!

Can you please give me a bit more info on what a compound clip is and why you use it? And what it provides here. Do you have a video about CapCut keyboard shortcuts and the best ones to learn to save you time when editing? If not, can you at least give me your shortcut recommendations? Appreciate any info.

A compound clips combines 2 clips into 1, so that anything you do affects both clips at the same time. I can line up a black solid png with a white animation, then merge them so I can scale and position them together. If you want actual numbers counting down... that could be a bit tedious in CapCut. After Effects is your friend. You could do a 10 minute progress bar just like I show here, and maybe just add a market with timecode at every minute so viewers know how long is left.

Not all features are available in all countries. But if you are in the US and don't have it, I'd completely remove and resinstall it.

Click on the clip with audio and on the right under audio is “normalize” to normalize the audio. But there is no graphic equalizer. There are several audio filters that can add bass, etc.

I think I've got it! You just need to start with something like a video or a picture, choose a transition, and then render only the part after that video or picture

It's easier to use an animation: click on that first clip, then in the top right window select video > animation > in. There are a ton of options, like Zoom In.

That DOES appear to be that lates version, but it seems like the sneak in little updates WITHOUT changing the version! I've seen some changes without the version number changing. It's what I have on my mac as well.
