@@Cook2Nourish Yea, I've been looking for a decent video with camera angle which is so important and couldn't find one until I found this one! Thanks so much! I was so confused on whether or not the pot has water in it to make the yogurt. I assume because the moisture content has to be only provided for the yogurt itself but needed clarification! You could use the same recipe but depending upon how thick / thin your coconut milk is, you may need to add more arrowroot starch to thicken. But you can definitely give this recipe a try with your homemade milk! Lmk how it turns out!

Great video thank you! Quick question, in the video you had a can of coconut milk and your Amazon link is cardboard boxes, is that the same product?
@Cook2Nourish11 ай бұрын
No I am using the same product. It is Aroy-D coconut milk which comes in cartons. However, since posting this recipe, I have realized that Aroy-D does have some additives although their labeling states only coconut milk. That's why I only recommend Native Forest Organic Simple now. Hope that helps.

Thank you for your lovely recipe. So easy and so much cheaper than buying coconut milk yogurt in the store! I did some googling and found that xanthan gum is a substitute for arrowroot flour. It has 7g carbs and 7g fiber/T for a net carb count of 0. Whereas, arrowroot flour has 7g carbs and 0g fiber/T for a net carb count of 7. Have you ever tried making this with xanthan gum? Trying to cut carbs for a keto diet and I already have xanthan gum in my pantry. Thanks in advance!
@Cook2Nourish2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment. I try to avoid using xanthan gums or other similar gums since they also aggravate leaky gut and thereby aggravate autoimmune disease. That's why these gums are not allowed on AIP. But thank you for sharing.

I tried xanthan gum and it turned to mush. Had to throw it away and wasted my cans of coconut milk. Xanthan is difficult to get right.

Hi! Thanks for sharing this😀 For the sour cream that you mention at the end, at what point in the process do you strain it? After the yogurt is fully made and refrigerated? Please explain. And if you have another video about that, please let me know. Thanks!🙏🏼
@Cook2Nourish4 жыл бұрын
Yes anytime after the yoghurt is made, you can then strain it through a cheese cloth or a fine mesh strainer and after all the water gets drained, it will get even thicker. And you can use it like sour cream as is or again keep in fridge for 30 mins to 1 hour for it to thicken and then use.

You can try coconut flour but I don't know for sure if it will give a good creamy texture. If you skip the arrowroot, you will still get the yoghurt but it won't be a thick/creamy consistency.

@Cook2Nourish9 ай бұрын
hi yes you can. You just need to keep it in a warm place (around 80-90 F). You can preheat your oven at the lowest setting and then turn it off. Then keep this inside. If you live in a warm place with room temperatures around 80 F then you don't need to do this. Hope this helps.
