@SessionPerfection2 жыл бұрын
Hi 🙂, thanks for your interest, I'm glad you like it. Resin ( epoxy resin) some kind of adhesive uses for almost anything ( from construction applications to art ) provide waterproofing, strength and durability. When it cures, dries or hardens and provides an excellent range of benefits. ofcourse different types of epoxy resin ( floor covering, table top, counter top, casting resin, art resin etc ) as they all have different uses,you need to choose your resin specifically for the job your after. For example; if you'd like to cast an object in resin , can't use floor resin , it will come out cloudy not clear looking. Hope this helps abit,as very wide of uses and products impossible for me to explain all in here. I can highly suggest if you would like to use resin , start with very small projects , at first experiment mixing curing time etc then go on bigger projects ♥️👍

Oh this is a good idea finally a video that isn’t the same as everybody else’s I knew there was a better way good job!!!I also wonder why peopleAre buying those face fillers because they make crushed glass pieces for fire pits and stuff outside landscaping wise… You need to buy a ton of that so I’m sure it’s a lot less expensive than paying for crushed glass from Michael’s or vase fillers...It’s got to be cheaper because you have to buy it in bulk basically and also it isn’t sharp when you pick it up with your hands. You would have to crush it down to make it smaller for a project probably but I would think it would crash easily and I would think that it wouldn’t be sharp but I’m not positive about that

This is such a great video/tutorial! I just spent a small fortune on a small amount of crushed glass. I wish I had seen your video before making the purchase, but at least I can make my own in the future (thanks to your wonderful demonstrations!) You mentioned the gold and black were oily and you had to wash them - is this normal, or had they not cured completely before you crushed the glass? Thanks for sharing your creativity with us!
@SessionPerfection2 жыл бұрын
Hi Linda, thank you very much happy to help 🥰 yes unfortunately crushed mirror glass can be costly , better to save up some jars 😃. You might be right as spray paints r oil based and could be not fully cured & 2 much paint ( I thought something was left in the containers hahaha) . When you have time pls watch this video 👇 , colouring crushed mirror glass , you may like this method better 🙂👍 kzbin.info/www/bejne/i2e6Y2awm791sNU

Thanks Linda 🥰 I reckon first method good for making mirror effect and second method gives more clear solid colours still keeping the mirror effect (as on the first one I smashed it after colouring it & black, gold colours scratched& dispatched ,still there able to see just not perfect solid colour as the second method). 🙂👍❤️

HELLO, I REALLY ENJOYED YOUR VIDEO. IM PARTIALLY SIGHTED AND WONDER HOW MUCH SHOULD I CRUSH THE GLASS SO ITS NOT SHARP??? THANK YOIU
@SessionPerfection2 жыл бұрын
Hi , I'm glad you liked it 🙂 unfortunately there's no correct answer for it. Moment glass get crushed will have sharp pieces in it. Especially spikey tiny ones can coz nasty cuts. On my crushed glass coffee table video / colour crushed video i touched with bare hands ,but I so not recommending it. For safety pls use PPE during process and after handling it. Thank you 🙂❤️👍
@MsHoley13 жыл бұрын
Love this idea! But Is this safe for using this glass for crafts ,"covering photo frames / Furniture / wall decor / in vases etc", things that will be touched? Isn't it sharp?
@SessionPerfection3 жыл бұрын
Hi sarah h 🙂 Thank you very much 🥰 I'm glad you love it 😊 safety is depends on how you r applying on decor items, like any other sharp objects need to take precautions when handling "crushed" glass. Usually modpodge uses with crushed glass, but if you can use with epoxy resin would be a safer option. Pls watch my "crushed mirror glass coffee table" video to see how to apply, thank you ❤️👍

Hi lilette 🙂 I happened to have different colour spray paints all the time coz use them for making furniture parts ( so I don't buy it specifically for this type of job) but yes can increase to cost , just getting the mirror effect spray paint will do the job and then if you like to add other colours you may use inks ( that's cheaper option to have many different colours)If you haven't seen it yet pls watch this video to see the results, thankyou 😊❤️ 👇 kzbin.info/www/bejne/i2e6Y2awm791sNU

Hi I was watchin how you made your own glass litter. Is it possible to use alcoholic ink to color the glass too?
@SessionPerfection3 жыл бұрын
Hi jill lederer 🙂 Thanks for your interest 😊 I have seen others colouring crushed glass ( from the shops) with ink & I tried on my diy crushed glass but didn't turn out good, it's stick together like a glue.. could be different underlaying issues though , like ; the ink I had maybe not a good quality ( from a dollar store), or could be rustoleum paints usually works well together another rustoleum colours so using ink might react chemicals differently.. or ( coz I used mirror effect spray first ) paint dried but not cured properly to adhere ink in correct way...humm okay I have to do more experiment to find a solution 😃 thank you very much 🥰❤️

This is the best DIY crushed Glass video I’ve seen. Just a couple of ideas, Can’t you just spray the outside of the jar because it doesn’t really matter which side has the mirror finish and if you use the side of the handle I think it would be more efficient because it would smash more glass at once
@SessionPerfection3 жыл бұрын
Hi @LindaNapp 🙂 Thank you very much 😊🥰 Of course you can spray outside of the jars if you are patience enough not to touch in between each coat ( I always touch it & end up having finger prints all over 😣) , which ever way suits you my friend 😃❤️👍

Thanks for sharing....question?…does washing the glass once it’s crushed, make it less dangerous to work with? And does it wash the paint off? I’m asking before I try it and make a mess lol
@SessionPerfection3 жыл бұрын
Hi Tracy Howell 🙂 washing it will make it more cleaner coz gets dusty & helps to get rid of tiny glass particles so I guess will minimise the danger ( still best to wear protective gloves).If you wash it, u may need large area to lay down them for drying... Once the paint completely cured, washing it with water won't effect the paint , as most spray paints r oil based😊👍
@MommaBearsCorner Жыл бұрын
yea, its way too exspensive. even on cheap sites they only give a couple of grams! And you buy a pound of craft type and they want easily 25-39 a pound. so finding ways to do own is always a good thing if you use it alot of any quantity. I wonder however if this method is best. LOVE the way it gives the tiny dust glass. Can use that in almost any resin-type stuff. Even on top. If the larger glass could cut, I would not use it on anything that can be touched directly of course. BUT IN resin itself and such not touchable directly, would work great. Save so much money. Is another option for sure. I really love the small glass it gives. thanks for sharing!

Hi Doves Paligrino 🙂 Thank you very much 😊🥰 I have used once but couldn't succeed 😞 makes them stick together worked like glue ,, not sure why , maybe the ink I used not suitable with mirror effect spray paint 🤔 would you pls tell me which brand do you use ? Thank you ❤️

Nice. I've seen another lady that takes mirror glass & dyes them with alcohol ink to use in resin.

I don’t know where you can get crushed glass for $9.00, here in Canada at Michael’s or Amazon they charge in the range of $50- $60 which is totally ridiculous! Thank you very much for making this video.

Working in a lung clinic, I would recommend covering your nose and mouth so you won’t breath in any of the glass dust. Also protective glasses would be good.

Hi FlutterbyXOX 🙂 Thanks for your recommendation ❤️ but u may missed the moment when I said first protection ,wear your working gloves & googles ( so I did wear protective glasses and mentioned ) , I did not mention the mask but when I was spray painting I was wearing one. Also I'm in the well ventilated area. Thank you for your concern, since I diagnosed with COPD I'm extremly careful with safety measures but thank you for the reminder for others 🥰🙏❤️

love your method! please wear a respirator to protect your lungs. All glass and ceramics have silica that is released when cut or broken
