HOW TO MAKE CUSTOM DOOR PANELS

I have a lot of crazy (but good) ideas for custom vehicles. Interiors, exteriors, complete custom vehicles using pieces of existing vehicles and hand made pieces. I really need to get a workshop setup and start getting some ideas into reality before it's too late. I'll be 43 in a few months so if I don't get on it now, then I might as well forget about it. I like the direction you're going with this one. I have a few rear-mid engine design ideas but most of them use the subframe of a front wheel drive car as the base to build from.

How much would you estimate that it saves weight? I’d like to make mine as light as possible without losing practicality. Any ideas?

not that much since the oem panels are already quite light, depends on the vehicle tho. i would guess somewhere about 500-1000g a door
