Ingredients:
(makes 12 donuts)
- 2 medium eggs
- 150 g sugar
- pinch of salt
- 30 g butter, melted & cooled
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- zest of 1 organic lemon
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 150 ml buttermilk
- 250 g all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 3 tsp poppy seeds
Glaze:
- 250-300 g powdered sugar + 2 x 2 tbsp powdered sugar for decoration
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp water
- Food coloring amzn.to/3THdxig
- Powdered food coloring (I use a different shade from this brand) amzn.to/3W15X0m
Bake the donuts at 220°C (428°F) for 10-12 minutes.
