Question, the cream had some lumps in it. I wondered if that was cream cheese and not cream? Or both?
@inthekitchenwithelisa

Hi there, that was double cream😊 Organic double cream separates in that way, it has the fat part on top and liquid at the bottom. At least when it is not homogenised.

Nothing worked for me, the stains still stayed and I could not get the soap out of it. I have left them to dry but I’m very disappointed in converse. Their shoes are uncleanable. The pair were bought only a month ago. 😢

Hi there, I'm really sorry to hear that it didn't work for you. It takes quite a lot of patience to clean the canvas part. You should not use a lot of soap either, as it might then be hard to wash out. But I do absolutely agree that cleaning converse is a real pain 😐

Can I use 15% sour cream?
@inthekitchenwithelisa

Hi there, I usually use 18% to 20% sour cream, but you can try using the 15%. It might make the filling a bit more runny, but if you use a cake ring it should still work.

Yes, of course you can😊 The brands I suggest are the ones that I have the best experience with. I sometimes also use other brands of cream cheese and they work great. It is just my personal preference for the best texture to use the Philadelphia brand.

Has anyone added mini chocolate chips to these?
@inthekitchenwithelisa
@inthekitchenwithelisa Ай бұрын
Hello Gail, I am not sure how that would work due to the type of batter that this is. What you could do however, if you really want to add some chocolate, is to dip the cooled cookies in some melted chocolate or decorate with melted chocolate stripes or place the mini chocolate chips on the freshly baked warm cookies, they will melt a little and attach to the cookies. I hope this helps 😊

@inthekitchenwithelisa Hi Elise! I have been to Deutschland many times. First as a child to Hannover and the DDR to visit cousins. Saw East Berlin in the 60's when it was Communist ran. Shops full of nothing and Russian soldiers every. When l firstly returned in 2010 we could walk under the Brandenburg Gate not have to view from a distance. During the 2000's visited many other cities with my son who supports the Deutscher Fussball Manschaft. Munschen, Köln, Bremen, Hamburg und Hannover.. When the Covid Pandemic came along my travelling ceased for a while. We now have granddaughters in Canada like l said so focus more to visiting them. You'll enjoy Hannover. You mention a park. Could it be Herrenhausen Gartens? Very lovely and worth visiting.. I will get round to attempting the Kaiserschramm soon. I asked our Cousin's daughter outside Berlin about it and she says she makes it often.. Best wishes from Scotland...🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇩🇪🤭

@@inthekitchenwithelisa And thanks for the great recipe.Russian and Slavic food is so underrated.The chicken/panko ones are great with stroganoff sauce,too.There's no need to dip the cutlets into beaten egg.Panko holds better just pressed gently into the cutlets.It's sort of half Russian kotleti/half Japanese korokke(croquettes).Panko seems to make everything better;German/Danish frikadellen,even Swedish meatballs.
