Christianity began as sun worship, the stories about Jesus are symbolic. He is just a personification of the sun, made into a god figure later on. The sun "dies" for 3 days on December 22nd, the winter solstice, when it stops its movement south, to be born again or resurrected on December 25th, when it resumes its movement north. In some areas, the calendar originally began in the constellation of Virgo, and the sun would therefore be "born of a Virgin" The sun rising in the morning is "the saviour of mankind" The sun is "The light of the World" The sun "walks on water" is just the reflection of the sun on water/the sea. "He cometh on clouds, and every eye shall see him", is just sun rays. Jesus' "crown of thorns" is just the sun's glare, also know as a halo. The sun's "followers", "helpers" or "disciples" are the 12 months and the 12 signs of the zodiac or constellations, through which the sun must pass. The sun at 12 noon is in the house or temple of the "Most High": thus.."he" begins "his Father's work" at "age" 12. The sun enters into each sign of the zodiac at 30 degrees, hense, the "Sun of God" begins his ministry at "age" 30. The sun is hung on a cross or "crucified", which represents its passing through the equinoxes. The vernal equinox being Easter, at which time it is then resurrected. The reason why saviour myths are so similar with a godman who is crucified and resurrected, who does miracles and has 12 disciples, is that these stories were based on the movements of the sun through the heavens, an astrotheological development that can be found throughout the planet, because the sun and the 12 zodiac signs can be observed around the globe. In other words, Jesus Christ and all the others upon whom this character is predicated are personifications of the sun, and the Gospel fable is merely a rehash of a mythological formula revolving around the movements of the sun throug the heavens.

So I don't actually disagree with your argument, but your conclusion is unfounded. First, you begin with a presupposition that stories from religion are based on creation and what it looks like. All religious stories about God are really just explaining characteristics of creation. But this is an assumption that has no bearing. For Christians, because we know this God, we have the opposite presupposition. All of creation is explaining God's character. Based on this, it's no surprise to me that the sun and all the planets and all the stars testify to the Glory of God. That's exactly what Romans says. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. Romans 1:18 ESV Secondly, I would agree with you completely about the nature of the story of Jesus, if it wasn't historical. This Jesus was a very public, very known, and very real character to hundreds of thousands of people just 100 years after his death! If the authors ntended allegory why did hundreds of Christians go their horrible, painful, and humiliating deaths to testify to it? The most logical answer is: They genuinely believe in the resurrection of the Dead, because they believed their Lord who did it first.

I'm not trying to argue here, but some people don't work well in the morning. I believe it's important and good to read and study in the mornings, but God made all of us different... Some people work better in the evenings, or just before bed. What you've learnt from studying the word is not lost, or changed, based on when you learnt.

@@Gamefan86 This doesn't debunk Jesus' resurrection, and doesn't take away from what all canonical texts claim what He stated of Himself. Basically these sun-worshippers ironically worshipped something that is similar to Christ and misconstrued His claims; which is what most of the world does. It may line up for you, Gamefan86, but these facts don't line up with the truth of God, who is not the sun, but the Creator of it. I truly do appreciate your interest. But I do not agree at all, neither does it link nearly as tightly as the majority of scriptures, prophecies and analogies. What you've done here is taking only a set of scriptures to weave a story together that fits for your agenda. It is shallow at its peak, and lacks the true depth of God's love. That is where the story of God differs from a ball of fire, to a true savior, a literal savior. Not a figure of speech. To literal death and resurrection. Not a metaphor. To real love, not an analogy or an allegory. But love for mankind. There are many other false gods and faiths, that have attempted to upend God's truth. But if you read the story in its entirety, from Genesis to Revelation, God is not just Jesus, and Jesus is not God's only representative. Jesus is the pinnacle of God's expression of love for mankind. But God has many other characteristics. He is King, He is Alpha and Omega. He is the truth, and He is the judge. He is a warrior, and He is generous. These are not figurative. This is a person. He is God, and we are made in His image. It is intensely beautiful. God is also the craftiness of man. And He is wisdom. He created evil and darkness. He is wrath and war. He is God. To subjegate the One and only God, to a ball of fire, is shortselling the topselling story and most influential literature mankind has ever known. So... I actually have compassion for your current state of faith; if you think that our God who decided to die for us, to correct our original relationship with Him, is only a flash-fire faith in some Sun-Diety. But if you think yourself wiser than God, and wiser than those who wrote the texts, who have never claimed what you have, in whom I trust; than my compassion is restrained and replaced with only just that; restraint, and maybe distance. But lots of thought-provoking prayers. I've seen many wildly wordly claims like yours, and this is sadly nothing new to me. And nowhere near as influential. Ultimately, if you think you're right, are you happy about it? And if I'm right, but not just me, those who wrote the Bible, are you happy about it? Because I believe what was written is the truth.

It seems like he us a bot due to his persistence to comment on other comments of the same sun God Jesus stiff copy and pasted..... I'm mean from reading his comment it seemed like those are all call signs of God: Being very persie and orderly that many facts match elsewhere in stories hence the many coincidence he claims that make God a sun deity But I thought the opposite; those many coincidences proved that God was God heralding Jesus Christ to save our souls from our sin He is idolizing the sun; and he is projecting on Christians not out of love for truth but hatred towards our love for Christ. He is shady and I feel like he is out to do no good commenting this blasphemy to sway beginning believers off the only path: our Lord Jesus Christ

I've started reading the bible each day and fasting for the last 4ish days. And I'll either put a random number generator 1-66 into my phone and pick a book that way, then do the same with chapters in the book, and read full chapters. Or I'll look up on google verses related to something which is bothering me, and then will read the entire chapter (or entire book in the case of Haggai). And I have to say its actually kind of scary how accurate a lot of these passages have been to what's going on in my life, like not just down to vague understanding, but actual detail. And it comforts me, but also makes me kind of. . . Extra-present is the word I guess? I truly believe in God and I do find it very freaky but also relieving that something in my life that I'm struggling with can be solved by looking at the bible and finding a passage that, somehow, pertains to exactly what I'm going through.

I also wouldn’t just start in Genesis and go through to the end because it might bore you a little to be on one topic until it’s paired with other books. I’m not saying Genesis is boring just having it split refreshes your mind and helps with the bigger picture. I personally like the yearly devotions where it’s split four ways mine is Genesis Chronicles Psalms and Luke(there might be a little better one). Their all over Etsy to print and Charles Stanley has a better trough the Bible in a year and I think for free!;)

I've learned to ask questions about what I'm reading and do a little research. Normally I write them down while going through what I want for that sitting. I've also found color coding is helpful it kind of gives the back of my mind a job to do while reading. Which keeps me on what I'm reading. I like doing a making a lot of tabs that will help in the long run from trying to cross reference on my phone. It might be somewhat helpful to be in multiple spots. Like reading in the gospels and psalm or Proverbs. For me having the desire to know God. Helped me a lot. I finally feel like I figure out how my brain works by trying different things to read the Bible.

Do you guys have your routines designed just for Monday - Friday for work hours or weekends too?
@reagantrose10 ай бұрын
I mostly focus on Monday-Friday. Schedule tends to shift too much on the weekends to stay consistent. I’ve been using 5-day a week reading plans for the last few years and find it’s more realistic and easier to not get behind on.
@lukenycz796710 ай бұрын
@@reagantrose I will keep that in mind. This week I started a morning routine of getting up and hour before I leave for work. First half reading/prayer and other half for breakfast/bathroom needs

All Devotionals cherry pick . They pick and put their own spin on things you’re not getting the real truth by not reading context The Bible isn’t meant to be ad lib That’s what was wrong with the amplified Bible too People just put their own spin on things And the fully sure really doesn’t read the Bible and ask the Holy Spirit can’t tell the difference between the false and the truth

the bible has not always been around and made available to everyone, heck the thief on the cross went to be with Jesus in paradise and he never had time to read the bible. Sure we should read it but it has not always been around in the form it is now and not everyone is a reader. Some people just don't do a lot of reading and some do! I like to listen to my bible- So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God and I read it ( cover to cover a couple of times). Then people feel guilty because they don't like reading ANYTHING and someone says you have to read a lot when its not something you do.

:59 “Commentaries up the wazoo” Really? 😳 I stopped listening at that point. One of the problems Christianity ✝️ has today are churches that speak of Holy things then use unsanctified language to do it. Christianity should be maintaining the standard, not lowering it.

I actually didn’t know that expression had crass overtones. It just thought it meant “to a great extent.” Appreciate you bringing this to my attention.

@@reagantrose I appreciate your response. But yes, the reference to “up the” is very much considered as you said “crass”. Wazoo is just a less offensive way of phrasing it. And it seems inappropriate in this context. 😬

@@reagantrose Don't feel bad...it was unintentional, of course! I once heard a Catholic priest quite innocently, during his homily, use the term 'if that's how you get your rocks off...'...there was an audible gasp from the congregation! I'm guessing someone would have informed him after Mass what it meant. I believe he thought it meant something like, 'whatever makes you happy'!
