As you've mentioned one of the most awesome benefits of chicken feet is that they have a glucosamine and collagen type 2 which is REALLY great for joint pains for older dogs. It's really cheap snack that will make your dog walk and feel better.

Thank you so much! I can’t afford a freeze drier . I read they’re the safest . But the ones I bought smell rancid . I don’t want to make my dogs sick . I appreciate the temperature info ! I’m doing this for my dogs. Especially my little 15-year-old miniature Chiweenie. She hates her teeth being brushed and she will silk and get mad at me every time I’ve tried to push her to brush them. Her mouth is so tiny that I don’t want to hurt her, even though her toothbrush is almost microscopic.😂. Her teeth get dirty so quick. I take her twice a year for cleanings and they look brown and mucky with a month or so if I don’t put in any effort. My other dog chews on everything so his teeth are beautiful. But he deserves a nice treat like this too.😊

I do have some chicken feet and I am going to dehydrate some for my two dogs and then I’m also going to put some in my pressure cooker for a minute and cook some in a recipe to give me collagen since I’m in my mid to late 50s. I live in Nevada, I just leave them out overnight and voila…..hard as a ROCK 🤣🤣🤣 But my pups do like them in their natural state and I feed them frozen, same as raw, frozen chicken necks 💪

We do not! They’re often softer than the bones themselves and the dogs can handle bones very easily. However, if it worries you, no harm in giving them a trim before feeding ☺️

Hey there Bryce thanks for the very informative video. I'm planning also on getting myself a dehydrator machine to make my dog's treats since in the long run its much more cost effective. Just wanna ask would the temperature needed for dehydration be the same for other types of meats/raw meaty bones? For example if I would like to make dehydrated chicken breasts would i still set the dehydrator to 150 degress also wanna ask what is the temperature unit that you are referring to is it celsius or farenheit? The dehydrator that I'm planning to get only goes up to 80c. Thanks in advance if you ever get the chance to notice my comment and reply. But is 150 safe? Usually the recommended safe temperature is 165F to kill all bacteria. Although this guideline is for humans

You NEED to specify what degrees you are referring to!! You got to be aware that on youtube you will have international audience and most of the world thinks in Celsius.... only US and maybe a few others don't........ If some one takes instruction as degrees Celsius their dog will be in trouble as bones will be cooked at a too high temperature and can be harmful.

@@spiced.ciderr who's upset? All I did was mentioned that for an international audience they should specify the scale they measure the temperature in. Not everyone is aware of the americans being still in dark ages and using Fahrenheit instead of Celsius as the rest of the civilized world. I don't need to ask, I know......... many others don't though and if they used the said temp. in C not F, they would roast the feet and make it dangerous to their dogs. So this is a safety issue as well!!
