Secret for those busy nights when you still want a hearty meal. I make mine with 5 pounds of hamburger, dividing them into 10-12 oz patties and putting one each into a baggie. I then freeze them. You can either take them out early to thaw or put them in warm water (Usually put the baggie into another bag so they don't get waterlogged). You can then cook them like she did or sometimes I'll put them in an oven (even a toaster oven) still frozen for 45-50 minutes at 350F while I make potatoes or rice and gravy or whatever. It's nice to have them waiting in the freezer.

You’re the best! I love your recipes because it suits my tastes perfectly. I’m quickly becoming your biggest fan!

Definitely making those steaks. But I use evaporated milk in my mashed potatoes. A neighbor showed me this 20 years ago and I've made them that way ever since. So fluffy and creamy, super delicious 😋
@jenniferfugiel26082 жыл бұрын
What does evaporated milk do that regular milk doesn't?
@cbear92632 жыл бұрын
@@jenniferfugiel2608 It just makes them creamier, thicker too. I used real butter too, not margarine. Try it, you'll see the difference.
@billiestafford8002 Жыл бұрын
Sour cream makes reheated mashed potatoes nasty. I used it once but never again. Tons of butter though!!❤
@cbear9263 Жыл бұрын
@Billie Stafford true, can't ever reheat a Mexican dish either since my left overs have sour and guacamole. The evaporated milk and butter is the bomb in spuds.

Made this recipe and my family loved it! I used some arrowroot powder to thicken the gravy instead of flour and it was fine.
@jolie2861 Жыл бұрын
I also use arrowroot for thickening...a great seldom known about or used..way better than flour.and doesn't leave that floury taste and actually makes gravies silkier
