How To Make DIY 3d Printer Machine | Science Project

In this video, I build a diy 3D printer for a science fair project for college and school. This 3D printer is made with a Creality motherboard, but Arduino can also be used.

It really is not that hard. Firmware editing is easy once you know what the parameters mean, and they are labeled aswell. A quick google search of a parameter in the marlin configuration file (assuming the firmware used is marlin) should do the trick. This also applies to Klipper (another firmware type). As you could imply here, 3d printer firmware is quite ready-made. You only need to change the parameters.

everything is nice and beautiful, but super glue for connecting CNC machine elements is not a good idea. I can already see this alignment and loss of steps during printing, the machine will not be stiff and the prints will be of poor quality. if you use it for a long time, the welds will come apart and the printer will fall apart.

@ramijali6964 Yeah he did. It's clearly labeled. Though for the screen you may need to either buy anet screen, ender 3 screen, or any lcd that has only 1 exp port. There are other great motherboard options such as the Creality V4.2.7, Mks tinybee, Skr mini e3 v3.0, Skr mini e3 v2.0 and the FYSTEC E4. But it is best to go for the Creality V4.2.2 as it is included in the video or the Bigtreetech Skr Mini E3 V3.0 as a feature-rich budget friendly board.

Even if you do build a 3D printer using another 3D printer, just get an Ender 3, a Bambu Lab X1 Carbon is an overkill, or get a Bambu Lab A1, it's almost as fast.

Doesn't matter. What matters here is whether you want to have a 3d printer project or not. If yes, go for it! If not, then don't and go buy a cheap 3d printer like an ender 3. Infact, what is made here could be cheaper than the ender 3 due to non-metal parts.

​@@shubhamdesai5038yes and yes. Keep in mind though, the Y axis is the bed movement, the X axis is the carriage, and the Z axis is the movement of the gantry up and down.

​@@shubhamdesai5038however for the display, you should be careful. If you are using a creality motherboard, do not use a rep rap display. The motherboard has only 1 port while the display would have two. Rather, use a creality ender 3 display, as it only had 1 port. You could also go for alternatives like the mks tinybee, an esp32- based board. It has 2 display ports, and would fit a rep rap lcd 12864. Just make sure you choose the correct lcd for your use case, and make sure it atleast has 1 EXP port ( EXP1, EXP2) on the back. If not, or there is no knob or circuitry, do not buy it. It's a plain lcd and would be hard to wire to a printer.
