How To Make DIY Bamboo Out Of PVC Pipes

Good Morning, Reptilians! Welcome to the Reptilian Den. I'm Den, and in this first video, I'm showing you how I made DIY Bamboo for a crested gecko's tank out of PVC pipe.

PVC - 1/2'' pvc available at any hardware store

Something I would like to see is a dig box?? Maybe that’s boring and simple but I think it would be cool to make a natural looking dig box you can have in your tank. Or maybe like some sort of bridge? I see some people use them across their tanks from one side to the other but I cant seem to find any. Sorry if these ideas seem kind of lame! I was trying to think of something other than a background or hide, I personally would love to see them but they’re pretty common so it might be boring to make. Well that’s about it for now 🦎

I'm screaming!! This is SUCH a great tutorial! I've been considering adding fake bamboo to my tank but was really unhappy with how the ones in the store look. I'm SO pumped to try this myself! Ooo!! I like this. A couple of my plastic cages came with horizontal PVC perches. Those have a pattern burned into them. It's not attractive and is still slick. It would work for tree pythons but my kingsnake really can't perch on these perches. Your method would create enough grip and would definitely look better. And I have a spare pipe, so... :) Thank you!

I think it would be cool to see some type of side background to cover the sides of an enclosure for a ball python tank. Without having to foam. And it doesn’t look ugly from the outside like foam does haha love your guys content!

They look amazing ! Some the better DIY bamboo I’ve seen. Great seeing Wednesday videos again and I love the DIY theme. I think I might attempt to make those. I let you guys know how it came out. I’m assuming that was sandpaper on the dremel, and what speed works best something high or low.

Thank you! It was 60 grit sand paper I think. I preferred high once I got the rhythm down. I learned real quick that you can cut right through the PVC if your not careful. I suggest you start slow and work your way up to up ~🦎 Den

looks so simple I have everything I need jus gotta fo pick up sum pvc pipes. Thank you BUNCHES! I have. Day Gecko her name is crimson😍 I rescued her I got her spoiled rotten thats for sure considering she wasn't never cared for when I got her gave to me. her tank was completely bone dry she had huge weird roaches inside her tank. her heat lamp and basking lamps was both on day and night she is in a 10 gallon tank btw. But since I've cleaned her tank renewed all substrates fake flowers the bamboo hides etc I've bought more stuff like a coconut hide I use my humidifier to mist her tank she loves it licks the mist its set on veey low mist. I use her basking lamp during day. Ilive in the south carolina so weather is weird here. I keep her tank temps right NOW that I rescued her💜 She is like I said spoiled rotten she eats her treats like mangos, banana etc. i have fresh water at all times plus her crickets milworms etc. My raw honey is for her nector when I give it to her she starts chattering and making noises sounds like a dinosaur she knows her name. Im so thankful I got her when I did. I love her BUNCHES😂 but I been wanting to add more bamboo or well now pvc pipes🤣🤓 Thank you bunxhes for sharing your vidoes with the world!!

It wasn't too bad. Not counting drying time, each stick took less than 10 mins. The hardest part was just how many he did to cover the background. 😬 Love your display pic by the way. 🥰
