The apple juice may work but it will dilute the gummies and may soften them too much. If you get some powdered drink mix and mix it into a concentrate with a bit of water it will also mellow the vodka bite like the liquid drink mix does. Hope this helps. +DJs BrewTube Haribo isn'r bad, but I don't like chewy the product is when finished. Because the Haribo gummies are harder then most when you start the product finished the same way. IMO, when you are making a drunken sort of treat you want to make it as easy to consume as possible. Thus, I don't use Haribo brand for this application. Hope you enjoy your gummies. If you want to store them you need to make them and drain off the extra vodka. If not tye will eventually get too soft and break up. I recommend no more then a few days storage after draining. Enjoy your party. CHEERS!!!! DJ

The alcohol get absorbed into the gummies that is why they grow in size. It all depends upon you alcohol tolerance I suppose. Any brand can work as long as they are not too hard or soft. you want a gummy like Black Forest brand that is of medium density. I hope this helps. Thanks a million for watching and commenting!!! Yes, after you separate the excess liquid you need to refrigerate the gummies. Soaking the gummies in vodka softens them and you need the refrigeration to keep them firm much like regular gelatin. Thanks a million for watching and commenting!!! CHEERS!!!! DJ

Sure two days is fin usually. If you are going to keep them longer you should drain out the unabsorbed vodka, a.k.a. gummy bear bath water and either drink it or dispose of it. I only buy Haribo. I dont F with the soft gummy bears...like Albanese or Troli. Its only for me so I dont mind waiting. I have a 750ml bottle of Bacardi Mango rum in which I added as much gummy bears as I could. Now they've softened up to the consistency of Jellp and no longer can be taken out of the bottle w/o having to pour it out. I might buy a "jar" of Old Smoky peach moonshine so I can retrieve the bears with a spoon or what not.

If you marinated the gummy bears in the pantry they would eventually dissolve. When you add the vodka you make the once solid gummy bears soft and of higher moisture content. You can use softer gummies, however, you need to keep an eye on them so they don't go mushy on you. The softer gummies seem to absorb the vodka faster and get really soft faster than those that are more firm. Thanks for watching. CHEERS Bance!!! DJ

I love making these for parties! Yeah it definitely makes a big difference depending on what gummy bears you get. We used mason jars too and they are way easier to use I think. That Kool-Aid idea was great man, never thought of that before. Awesome video DJ!

Yes, one thing that I have doe successfully is to shake it with orange juice and Ice to make what I call a Gummy Bath Water Martini. If you used the tropical flavor bottle of Kool-Aid would taste more like the gummy bears? This was such a great tutorial i think i might make them for the family well adults thanks again.. An one more question could you add more of those gummys in the jar or would they get to big? Also how long are they good to last in the jar or will they melt if left out? (How many days)

DJs BrewTube You can soak the gummies for less time. They just won't absorb as much alcohol. Also, if you soak the gummies at room temp for 30 to 45 minutes it will accelerate the process. Just keep an eye on them to make sure they do not dissolve. Thanks a million!!!! DJ
