You know, I'm glad you used 1/4 inch drive ratchet and sockets on that job. I have seen many a backyard mechanic having to do a job over because they used a 1/2 " drive or God forbid an air ratchet and mushroomed a gasket all because they thought they could get the job done quicker, That's a very common problem on those cars my sister had one she had it done in 2010 and the car ended up being bought by my brother's father in law and he had it redone in 2019

I would never use power tools on a plastic valve cover. Usually they crack or explode, not wanting that headache. Lol

My guess would be that the key cost was more than the car. Good job. This flip worked out great so far but, people need to understand that it was a gamble on your part. It could have needed a new engine.
