Great proyect, it looks awesome. A couple of tips: A) Use a fondant tool to get a perfect bead of silicon on the mold, once the silicon is dry you can peal of the excess. B) Make sure the ratio between the part A and B of the resin is by volume, if it's by weight those cups won't work. C) You can easily remove the bubbles at the top with a heatgun or a torch.

Dude this is absolutely WICKED COOL, very impressive bro, I actually just recently purchased a few burls & planks to give this sort of thing a crack, well I don’t have a CNC machine, so mine won’t turn out as awesome as yours 😃 I’m from AUS as well, I live in Sydney

Goodness, that's beautiful... I had my first experience with Epoxy this weekend (coasters made with padauk, with coca cola logos in different languages, filled in with cherry red epoxy). It turned out PERFECT. I would encourage anyone that's nervous to try epoxy to give it a shot... One tip (at least my idea), buy some molds (for things like dice, dominos, jewelry, etc, something small) to make stuff with the little bit of epoxy you have left over. It's EXPENSIVE, why throw it away when you can make something with it?

It looks awesome. Beautiful design. I am not so sure if it is practical to use epoxy for a cutting board though. Epoxy scratches easily and is far from food safe. Wasn't it possible to CNC the inlays from a contrasting piece of wood?

Sam this is beautiful! how deep did you cut the hex pattern?

Just found your channel I'm starting setting up side hustle doing cheese boards serving boards and live table tops. Gonna start experimenting with resin aswell. I take it for us that don't have CNC this could potentially be done with router?? 🏴👍🤔

Hello, you should have more descriptions like size and thickness of your project. What kind of mineral oil did you use? What did you sand it to? All would be very helpful. Very nice board. How come no mask when using epoxy? Everyone says that you should wear one. Thanks again for the great video.

great video, couple questions, what CNC machine do you have ? and i have been looking to do epoxy resin cutting boards but keep reading the issue of epoxy not being food grade have i had any issues with the food grade of epoxy?
@samwilkinson96703 жыл бұрын
i got my cnc from XYZ carve, in australia, yeah it is possible to get food grade epoxy, but its hard to find.
