It's hilarious when he goes on about the can at the start, "make sure you remove the contents of the can, weather you've eaten it or just wasted it;I'll hate you for that..." "Make sure your can is empty, why? Because if this was a full can it would be way to heavy for your terrain, you don't want to have heavy pieces of terrain because if you do you'll because you don't want to be lugging breakfast withyou while you play your game." Haha he's so funny

Great base piece of terrain to add tons of other detail to. Bolts, rivits, weld lines with hot glue, pipework, walkways, ladders, rails...all would be great directions to take something like this. What other ideas do people have that come to mind to add to something like this?

I think this was awesome, I am thinking that if you use smaller and thinner clear tubing, then you could make a really cool alien cryo-container. Just do the same concept but put it on the clear tubing instead. I Would paint everything first, then glue it on though because you want the "glass chamber" to be clean. Then fill the tube with water works clear plastic water (or something similar) and dye the water green, add an alien inside and maybe some oxygen tubes attached to the alien and done.

Interestingly, in 5th grade (1973-74), we were being taught the metric system as an extra lesson section in math. The government was apparently in a hurry to get us up to speed on it. They were doing this because the U.S. was going to be completely converted to the metric system by the time we were in high school. It never happened. Also, in the U.S., we do use the imperial measurement system. But, it's technically called the British Imperial system.

Instead of the usual black/grey/white paints (makes the board look a bit dull with everything painted the same colours), spray it brown adding black for shadows and red/orange/ligther browns to make it look rusty.

It could have used some brigter colours. a few more layers etc. but it was a "fast" project so that a nice result. A rusty can would be cool too. First red then brown then metal. as in one of the first painting turorials.

Rubber bands would of been very handy to hold them in place while the white glue (we call it Elmers Glue in the states). I save the straws off of those juice boxes they make great pipes and such to glue to things like that. Adds a little more detail and color to them keeps em interesting.

not wise to say that in front of MWG fans :P plus their are many uses for this u have about 3 a battle bunker and some street terrain and i made a winter assult on a wepons depo. so theres somthin for ya,heres a good scenario too if u actually use the space hulk peices as units like me :P i use the dead space marines as an artifact and the imperial troops must retrive it from the opposing army ,not perfect but its a game have fun with it :)

Stranger than the Pop/Soda or the metric/imperial distinction is the "PVA Glue". I don't know anyone in the USA who calls white glue "PVA Glue" Although, we in Minnesota in the USA also call it Pop.

2. No one thought that the Inch and Foot was related to pyramid building until the 1600's, by the end of the 1800's no believed either it had been debunked so to speak. 3. The entire ship design of the Romans was stolen from the Carthaginians. 4. Actually the Roman Gladius was more closely related to the Celtiberian's Sword than to the Greek.
