I love this but I think instead of power armor I think you should make a NCR Ranger Vetran helmet from new vegas edit: lol nvm I know a really easy way to make it all you need is a tactical airsoft gas mask and a ww2 helmet or black baseball helmet and recolor the lenses on the mask

Looks great! I think the round then flat thing on the armband is like an airplane seat buckle, and has a cloth strap, but other than that it's awesome!

Would a toy stormtrooper helmet be a good base for the power armour helmet or would the amount of modification needed just outweigh the benefit of using one in the first place?

For the tubes I would suggest that you find that heater pins and once you do that they will glow just like in the trailer. I had done a test with it and it works on a normal bench supply and I think it will work on a simple 9v battery too.

How do you do the lighting? Do you have an LED tutorial?

The LEDs are just placed inside the pipboy, and the batter casing on the red one is hidden inside the gauntlet. There are simpler or more professional ways to do it but they would've taken longer.

Well now that's interesting, for a while I was talking back and before about the pip boy, it almost seemed like a pip boy 2000 but resembled a pip boy 3000 though the game takes place to early to that. A very nice build, I especially like you included the vacuum tubes.

It’s actually a Pip-Boy 2000 mark 2. In the teaser people noticed a part of the Pip-Boy that states it is the 2000 variant with “Mk 2” marked as well

I’m not too sure, but judging by the footage of the dweller putting the Pip-Boy on and the footage at E3, it’s safe to assume that the Pip-Boy 2000 Mk IV is basically a 2000 model that’s been updated and attached to a leather strap

fallout 76's pip boy is mostly made of leather with the technical pieces facing the user like a proper watch

if you wanna avoid getting glued to your props, you could try silicone finger tips. I think they are at craft stores in sewing sections, and on amazon so there's that.

You can basically get a real pip-boy from a company called Exovolve. They sell exosuits. Has a display like the pip-boy but you can order what you want it to do. Geiger counter, air quality monitoring. Anything. GET ONE ! There awesome
