I literally just came home from shopping and buying some Sherbet. I saw it in the shelf and thought I have not had that since I was about 12 yrs old. I wonder if it still tastes the same? Only the packaging was different. Inside was a stick of liquorish and I remembered as a child we used to bite the ends off the hollow stick and use it as a straw for the powder. Then I thought, I wonder how they make this stuff and ended up here. Thanks. I shall make some tomorrow.

As a Kiwi just like you I have memories of having sherbet with the paper bag and straw to suck it up. I have all the ingredients so I think that I owe it to my 10 year old self to make this. I love your channel and it helps that I recognise your accent as half of my family are Aussies. I lost my Mum to cancer 14 months ago and then I found my Dad had passed away in his sleep six weeks ago. Due to illness I'd moved back in with them and we helped each other when needed. I was so blessed to call them my parents but also my best friends and there is nothing we wouldn't have done for each other. I'm finding peace in familiar things so thank you for helping me with that. I know that this video was posted many years ago but if you see this message I want you to know that I hope that you and your loved onesnare doing well. Xx
