I love it!! It's beautiful. I wish you would show the whole recipe and steps including fragrance and all!!

Thank you! And you are so right, next time I will be sure to include this! More tallow recipes are in the works. Stay tuned!

Thanks for the presentation! Have you ever thought of or used fresh lemon oil (from fresh lemon skin) as an ingredient for fragrance?
@letschasethegoodlife23 күн бұрын
Great suggestion! I will try that and report back! I was also going to try to make a more “manly” smelling one with pine or eucalyptus for mens shaving cream.

How long did you whip it for?
@letschasethegoodlife8 күн бұрын
Several minutes. Probably 3 minutes on high. Doesn’t sound like a lot but when you mixer is in high I think it really is and works in a lot of air!

Was that beef suet you were rendering in the crockpot? Even from frozen and on the lowest settings, it’s hard to imagine it taking 6 hours for tallow to melt. It looks like you were rendering down beef suet to get the tallow.
@letschasethegoodlife23 күн бұрын
Interesting! You may very well be right. I requested our butcher “put us on the list” for any tallow that became available and this is what they sold me. Looks like I need to do a deeper dive on this… I am going to be making another tallow video soon so stay posted-I’ll be sharing a DIY tallow shaving cream and will do my best to cover this process a little more systemically. New to making videos so thank you for bearing with us!

it's so fluffy! i wonder what makes it so fluffy compared to others, mine is far from that, might need to whip more.
@letschasethegoodlife4 ай бұрын
Thank you! It was somewhat by accident. Here’s what I did: whipped for one minute on medium, scraped down the sides of the bowl, and then one more minute on the HIGHEST setting!

The best way to get all the contaminants out of the tallow and getting all that “beef” scent out is to process using the wet method in a crockpot. Repeat the process 2-3 times and it will be pure and scent free.

Did you use suet? Or did you use fat from the whole cow? I have fat from the whole entire cow but mine seems to just come out creamy instead of whippy, so I'm curious
@letschasethegoodlife23 күн бұрын
Interesting! Yes, I think the whippy part is all about the air from the blending on high speed and olive oil helps too

That foam…. is what turns to liquid when you put it in a freezer and solidify, this is the impurities, they stay liquid after your tallow solidifies

Is it from a grass fed cow or you can use any kind?
@letschasethegoodlife2 ай бұрын
Any kind but this is grass-fed. It’s out of my price point right now to get organic + grass-fed, so I just focus on getting grass-fed (for the vitamin content).

Its hard to find real fatty beef or even organs like liver unless its frozen 😢 I have an immune disorder and my skin sort of melts away sometimes and my Grandma saw it and applied tallo on it and it disappeared unfortunately here in the US i got steroids that messed up my body and gained weight

Tallow? You mean the fat rendered from cooking burger? Doesnt that rot?
@CaptainHieronymusLex2 ай бұрын
Why should it rot more than any other fat
@letschasethegoodlife23 күн бұрын
Not when rendered properly. I’m the same way that coconut oil doesn’t rot, neither does properly rendered tallow. It’s had a great shelf life I’m happy to report!

Although just like any oils, I do think it can and will eventually oxidize. But the same is true for old makeup or olive oil.

It looks lovely but I would think it would be a most unpleasant odor to wear.
@mycare27012 ай бұрын
It’s completely odorless
@letschasethegoodlife23 күн бұрын
I was worried about that too but it actually smells great. Not beefy! But I think it *is* noticeablely different from coconut oil or plant based products. It’s very VERY creamy and doesn’t smell as sweet as some of the plant based oils
