When you said I hope you make it and sell it!!!!!!!!! I was like Wow she’s a real one. So many people never want to share because of fear, but what we don’t realize is that our gift will make room for us…… We will always have opportunities to make money & get money we prosper more in life weather Health or Wealth when we share because we have our hands open to receive not closed cause we don’t get much with a clutch fist. Each and everyone of us will reach people that others won’t so no one is stealing any clients or anything like that. God Bless you❤❤❤❤ and Thank You

Aww, thanks Tanya! I appreciate that! I have a trick if you can't get pumpkin oil - the trick is to go on to New Directions website and search any ol' oil you want to use. They have a great section that will tell you the absorbency of most oils - here is what it says about pumpkin: Absorption: Organic Pumpkin Seed Oil is readily absorbed by the skin. So any oil (or butter) that you want to swap, check here and if it states "readily absorbed" you should be good to swap for a non-greasy formula! Good Luck!💗

@WalnutCreekBathBoutique3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching Debbie! Oh Kokum butter sounds lovely! I have some but only used it in shampoo bars. It went back into the fridge so often because that is something I saw Marie at humblebee and me do for a lovely final texture. I find that it holds the fluffiness better when put in the fridge. She actually whipped it every 10 min, but as my batch is so much larger I put it in closer to 30 between whipping.😊

Hi Cora! I'm so happy you found me!! Thank you for your kind words! What a great idea to heat your butters in the hot sun! That has to be more gentle than a stove or microwave!! Those butters sure are picky LOL (give that pumpkin seed oil a go, I think you will love it!!) 💗

Hi Tammy. I’m back!! I tried your recipe with one exchange-pumpkin for argan. Just like you said, our skin behaves differently and do my research and see what my skin likes. (Think that was a different video but your advice-which is spot on.). That was my first attempt. Made 6oz. Lol. Used it all. Batch 2: added one tiny tweak: a wee bit of arrowroot powder and for me, that was the magic! I only make enough for me (hobbyist) and I love being in charge of what is in my soaps, lotions and butters. Thank you again for being so gracious to share your recipes and fun as you make your items. PS. You are so lovely on screen and well, to me-you are so knowledgeable and a pro! And the best part, relatable! Someone I would love to share a cup of coffee and share laughs over the adventures of getting items in. USPS has sent my boxes (small ones) to every USPS PO Box but mine. I do feel for them-the pandemic has trebled their work. Again, all the best!

Well, if you look in the description box the percentages are there for you to scale up or down. If that is a little confusing (I couldn't do that without a software - me and math - we don't like each other LOL) just take the amounts and keep dividing by half until you get to the size you are comfortable with. Good Luck!

Thank you so much for your help! I've been having so much trouble coming up with a recipe, either too greasy or grainy 😩I was wondering if adding powdered goats milk make it grainy or what are your thoughts? I read many great benefits from it as well!
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique Жыл бұрын
I don't think I would add it goat's milk. The powder would not do much for the skin unless it is reconstituted in water (in my opinion) and then you are looking at a lotion situation instead of a butter.
@bluecindy15 Жыл бұрын
Because it's mango butter does it need a preservative? Have you ever had issues with mold? My second batch got moldy so not sure if it was due to condensation on my end.
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique Жыл бұрын
@@bluecindy15 I have not had issues with molding. I don't think the mango butter makes a formula need preserving. I will say that since making this video I have learned that we should not put hot ingredients in the fridge/freezer. The condensation can cause problems. I now let my mixture cool down close to room temp before putting it in the fridge. I think one of the things to watch for is that not cooling quick enough can cause shea and mango to go grainy. I think next time I might just add it to an ice bath. That way it cools quickly and the condensation can go into the air and not back into the bow. Hope that helps!!

this is amazing! you should split the batches so it can cool faster!

I just now found your channel and this older video popped up on you tube. This is very interesting. How long will your products last? I watched another video of a lady making chamomile lotion and she said she added a preservative because otherwise it wouldn’t last very long. Thanks for sharing how you make this. I’d love to try making some.
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique Жыл бұрын
HI Pam! I'm so glad you stopped by and watched my video! You don't have to add a preservative to this recipe as there is no water added. Also there is a low chance of water being introduced to the jar with wet hands. This jar will last a good year, but that also depends on how old your oils are. Vit E is added to help the oils/butters from going rancid too quickly. Let me know if you try it or if you have any other questions!

I am new to body butter - in fact I haven't made it yet, but I like the sounds of this formula! I have a friend who prefers regular body butter as opposed to "whipped" body butter. Can you tell me the difference between the two? I have searched the web and cannot find an answer. This is a learning experience for me! Can this recipe be used as a regular body butter instead of the "whipped" version? Thanks for whatever help you can give me!
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique3 жыл бұрын
Hi Marylu! That's a great question, honestly the only difference (as far as I know) is literally as you would think. One you whip, this puts air in the product and gives it that fluffy almost spongy texture. For a non-whipped butter you would let it cool somewhat and pour into jars while still in the liquid form. This gives the butter a much firmer texture. Then you have some people that call a cream an emulsified body butter, this is more like a lotion in texture. Yes, this recipe can be made without whipping! I haven't tested this so if you make it like that I would love to hear what you (and your friend) think!😊

Thank you for sharing, beginner here and interested on making my own natural y healthy products, can you tell me do you use refined or natural butters?
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique Жыл бұрын
I use refined. I personally don't want to fight the strong scents that unrefined brings to the product. But some people that are wanting super natural products will use unrefined. Good Luck!!!

Thank you for sharing a recipe!! I want to try this recipe but not buy in large quantities until I do. I looked at pumpkin seed oil besides Soapers Choice and what I saw was colorless. Does that matter? It was not organic.

I don't think it makes a difference. the last time I bought it I bought the clear and it was all fine. Good luck!! 🤗

Does the heat affect the vit E, is that why you waited till cooler to add? Seems like it would have mixed better with everything when it was more fluid, but I dont know if that would be ok. great video
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique Жыл бұрын
thanks! I have learned since making this video that vit E is much less heat sensitive than I knew. I now add it to my heated "anything" because you are completely right, it mixes in way better that way. Thanks for watching!! 🤗😀

Have you ever tried adding cornstarch or tapioca or arrowroot p to help mitigate any greasiness? I’ve watched other videos that said it gives the finished product a powdery feel and that sounds appealing to me. Just wondering if you have any experience with it as I haven’t made any body butters at all yet. Thanks!😊
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique8 күн бұрын
I tried once to add a powder to this butter but didn't find it much use. I really don't feel the need to. If you have a lot of oils and butters that are pretty greasy and heavy I would def think you would want to add it. Mine are chosen specifically for their ability to sink into the skin quickly and not leave a greasy feeling. Hope that helps!

Thank you for sharing this recipe. I plan on making it this weekend. My question is can I make a big batch and store it in one big container and only scoop when I get an order. I will be using different scents per order. So basically this would be my base. I love your videos. You are so down to earth. I am a new subscriber.

Could we add beeswax in the summer months to help the butter keep its form and prevent melting?
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique Жыл бұрын
you know, Jennifer, that is a good idea. I hadn't thought about adding a wax. Now you have me thinking...LOL
@msparamin3285 Жыл бұрын
Jennifer Heinze, I liked the idea of having asked about beeswax, I put it in all my creams and lotions, it helps to seal the moisture on the skin and it's also a sort of antioxidant , blessings

My daughter and I really enjoyed watching you and your video and thank you for sharing your recipe. We are going to try out your recipe. I was wondering if you could suggest the best place for us to buy the ingredients including a place to purchase scents. We do have our business license to purchase wholesale. Thank you.
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique Жыл бұрын
Hi Tammy! If you are buying ingredients in an amount around 16 oz or less I would say Wholesale Supplies Plus or Bramble Berry. Natures garden would also be a good place. they all have ingredients and your packaging. If you are buying in a larger amount (over 7 pounds) I would suggest Soapers Choice. They have the best prices and the best shipping times. Thanks for watching!!💖
