To get more garlic flavor over the chicken wings, you can add garlic powder to the starch mix before you coat the chicken. Try it!

It is hard to give the exact time, as it depends on the amount of chicken you put in the oil at once and the size of the chicken wings. But if you fry them at 180 degrees and in small batches, they should be done, when they look golden brown like in the video. Just to be sure, you can take one out and cut it to check the inside.

I have never timed it, so I cannot tell you the exact amount of time, but I always fry it until I get the golden brown color on the outside. I think it is 180° celcius, but I use the old-fashioned Chinese trick to heat up the oil until small bubbles form, if you put a wooden utensil, like chopsticks into the hot oil.

@MichelleTang
@MichelleTang 2 жыл бұрын
I thought a big bowl would have too much shadow on the inside and make it less visible on camera. I also used a big glass bowl, but it reflected too much. So, I just used the dish that I normally use. It is not as bad as you think.

@MichelleTang
@MichelleTang 2 жыл бұрын
@@justincase7937 It may look a bit uncomfortable and clumsy in the video, but it is because I didn't want anything to splash on the camera or anywhere else and the angles had to be right, so the hands and arms were not in the same position as we are used to. Normally, this dish works just fine, as we don't mind if the kitchen is a bit messy, while cooking. You are always welcome to give me suggestions on how to make my videos better.
