I do my pickles like this... drain, put in bowl, add eggs and flour. Blend well with wood spoon..it should be kind of thick...then , dip in flour mixture with seasoning??? Salt herbs ? What ever you like. Then slowly drop in heated oil. Flip until browned. Yum . Dip in sauces whatever you like. I like ranch.

@@SugarSpunRun I've been doing a more healthy version with breadcrumbs and egg wash. I almost never have buttermilk in my fridge because it always goes to waste since I only use it for brining. I recently tried an all purpose flour + cornmeal + water + spices batter that came out amazing. anyways, it's pretty simple, prepare the pickles however you want and then throw them in for 10 mins at 400F. @@SugarSpunRun one more question when frying do you have the heat on low , med or high for 350 or 375 frying
@SugarSpunRun3 жыл бұрын
You don’t want to turn your stovetop heat much above medium low (my stove goes up to 10 so I use 4). You want it to reach the right temperature but you also want it to maintain the proper temperature. Make sure your thermometer is in the right location (not too high or too low in the oil).
