As someone who has lived in many regions of the U.S. , you are definately in a region where people are known for being friendly and helpful. When I moved to Tennessee people there went out of their way to help me. Much different than when I moved out West where my neighbors didn't want to get to know you. Can't beat Southern hospitality.

It's interesting to hear this persepective from an attractive person with a beatiful smile and outlook. All I can say is from my perspective people are naturally drawn to attractive people. I'm not unattractive but I've been flat out told I'm ugly and put down by many just for existing. This makes it much harder to be outgoing. Also why is it always us introverts that need to be outgoing to make friends, rarely do I have people reaching out to me to hangout.

I'm about as average looking as it gets and not outgoing around strangers. Lived in nashville for 10 years and I've got 2 couples who i hang out with. Being sober also makes it harder to make friends

'Happy people don't shoot their husband." Quote of the day, for sure! Another thing you can do is to volunteer to read to people in hospitals or nursing homes. The more connections you make, the more likely you are to run into something really good or beneficial to your career. I also think that Nashville and Tennessee in general are hospitable places.

When you're in a new town or city, I've found the best way to meet folks who then can become friends is by checking the community out for groups and organizations who gather regularly to talk about and do things of mutual interest. It's not easy always, but friendships have a multiplier effect, once you have a couple, it can quickly turn into many.. Good luck.

Lol making friends as an adult feels like such an uphill battle. One unsolicited tip I'll throw in is checking out bar trivia in a new town. You get to grab fries and beer, play a game, and possibly join another group if it's a friendly place!

Samica, perhaps you're already acquainted with Talia Scott. If not, she and her husband, Roger, live in the Nashville area, around Franklin, I think. She also sings, and they are content creators, too. Judging by their videos, she has a very energetic personality and is probably an extrovert, but you two may still get along well even though you may be opposite in that regard. Perhaps you both would enjoy getting together to collaborate on some music. Just thought I'd tell you about her since you're looking for new friends in that area. I know the feeling, I'm southern boy and yes with an accent, born and raised in Florida. Took a civilian job with the US Navy and moved up to Maine, Complete culture shock! My southern accent isn't bad at all but because a ton of people working there are from Boston and other New England areas, they noticed me because I didn't sound like them. Thick thick northern accents, so glad I don't sound like them! I bet they say the same of me.

Unless Nashville has drastically changed, there are many people who are friendly and helpful. At least that was the case when I had to spend time there. I grew up in East Tennessee and we wave at people driving by who we don't know. You do sound like someone who would fit in, plus music is loved by most people, even if they don't like the genre.

I find it veeeeery hard to understand how you would have any problem making friends. You have waaaay to great of a personality to struggle with that.
