I'm watching your video and I'm not understanding row #2. In row #1 you have them in the order of (1 2 3 4 5 6 6 5 4 3 2 1) 1- (lightest) GREEN#1 2- GREEN #2 3- WHITE 4- GREEN #3 5- (darkest) GREEN #5 6- GREEN #4 So if done by how you explain it in your video, your row #2 should now be in the order of (2 1 4 3 6 5 5 6 3 4 1 2) bc you start left side and take strings #1 & #2 // forward knot (left over right) // switch... then same with strings #3 & #4 then strings #5 & # 6. But in your video, you've set up your row #2 in the order of (2 1 3 4 6 5 5 6 4 3 1 2) And the only reason I am noticing is bc of string #3 (white). I wrote out your instructions after watching for HOURS trying to learn this pattern. I have been trying to figure this pattern out by numerous tutorials and pattern diagrams but for what ever the reason I cant. Can you please help me to understand if I'm missing something or if there is a glitch in the set up. It's nearly 2am and I've literally am about to loose my mind. It shouldn't be this hard. I have mastered the candy strip, Chevron (as many as 20 strings), along with button closures and the button loop. I should have no problem but that stinking white string #3 has officially done me in. Please help! I'm at your mercy.

when i first placed my strings down they were from light to dark, however when i started the pattern they were no longer in the same gradient order :(

Did you see the order I lay mine out in? If you lay them down in a gradient, they'll end up random, but if you mimic how I did mine, and just switch out your colors with mine, matching the lightness, they should turn out.

CaptainBlunt So I think the idea with 1-2 patterns is that you aren’t continuing with the same string all the way across, instead you are pairing up the strings and knotting them together. On the even rows, you set out the outer most strings on either side. A good strategy is to have the strings spread out a lot, or, you can buy a kit that will have somewhere you can put loose strings and make them secure while you knot over them. I hope this helps so you can make a beautiful bracelet!! Good luck!!!!!!
