How To Make Gauchos From Your Old Jeans

So cute and edgy! In this video, I will show you step by step how to create a fun pair of denim gaucho pants from a pair of thrifted jeans. We will be distressing, patching, bleaching and creating a triangle denim insert for a flirty flared leg. These gauchos can be worn year round, boots and sweater in cool whether or a romantic flowy top and sandals in warmer weather. I'm contemplating blanket stitching the raw seams or at least around the bottom with some off white crochet thread for doilies that I've had laying around forever..

I ran across a BUNCH of OLD patterns from the 40s, 50s and 60s recently; all completely intact and never had been used! They were reminiscent of Joan Crawford, Audry Hepburn and Lauren Bacall complete with shoulder pads and including hat patterns for pillbox hats and others! My feet haven't touched down since!

I love your videos! I distressed my 1st pair of jeans when I was 15 by taking my dad's shotgun loaded up with buckshot and blasted them 😅 My dad couldn't figure out why I was ruining my perfectly good jeans. I wore them to school and everyone brought me jeans to shoot up for them. I called them buckshot blue jeans. This was 40 years ago before it was a thing and there is a clothing brand that came out with the name Buckshot Bluejeans. I missed my opportunity because my dad thought I was just crazy😂 true story. You found your calling and stuck to it!

I did see the video you did showing pictures of your booth(s) and am wondering if I missed another talking about researching locations, what's currently creating best sales and other considerations; would you considering doing one? For a few reasons I've decided not to sell online any longer and am considering a booth (or 2) in a town w population under 100,000, seasonal tourists and university population that pretty much leaves for the summer. First I want to say I would love to see your creations in that show! On the first episode this year, one of the judges was wearing a beautiful boho inspired looking skirt that looked so awesome I want to make something similar out of my collection of scarfs , which I have quite the collection. Would you consider doing a tutorial of such a creation? Mind you I hand sew everything because I don't know how to thread my sewing machine.
