I absolutely love this channel. Can you please show us how to make jeans that have different parts of jeans going down the whole leg. Literally there like new legs. Rhey have parts with the pocket different colors. I want to make the flair jeans and like everything. I have severe depression and i wish we were friends. Geezz you are beyond talented and sweet and your making all the stuff i love. I love exposed seams. There are not really good thrift stores here. Im from nc and there were yon there. Totally Groovy Baby lol.. These look fab Tracy, took me back to mine as a teenager. I had the light blue denim flares with the panel at the sides, which were bordered with chrome studs 😅😂 They were called Colonials.. Crochet squares in to a vest and my brown suede boots hahaha. Thought i was the cats whiskers 😂❤

I see what you are doing, but I would have sewn right side of triangle to wrong side of pants so it will be flat and not as bulky of a seam, love the pants!

I just finished a pair using your instructions and the issue I keep having (with other tutorials for diy flare also!) is that my added panels don’t seem to flow well. I made sure to use similar material denim and even top stitched the added panels. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong? The panels kind of look squared off and sometimes cave in a little. Thanks!

Traci, I hope you see this comment even though the posting is a year old. I'm not sure if it will help for carpal tunnel syndrome but I started my husband on a good brand of cod liver oil capsule which naturally has vitamins A and D in it. He had tennis elbow (a form of arthritis) and was having to get cortisone shots more frequently because they just weren't working as long. But taking the cod liver oil has done wonders for his pain. It's pretty much gone unless he forgets to take his pill.

Most of the time I cut the sides completely open and then sew them back together. That's the easiest way and I have lots of videos on that.🤗💞💞💞💞

Hi Traci ~ I’ve cut some jeans all the way up to the waist (decorating) but now I want to add bells ~ should I just sew down leg then add bell? You cut these from the front & not the back side…does that help the way they lay??? Thanks so much 💜

When I add a triangle insert, I do it toward the front just so it's more noticeable. Did you cut through your waistband?🤗

This is a little off topic, but I'm curious. I just upcycled a pair of jeans, using white eyelet. And I have another pair ready to be beautified. I'm thinking of black eyelet, but I don't see a lot of black in the laganlook and MP clothes. Do you think black eyelet is a good choice? I gravitate to black, white, and bright pinks, when I get dressed in the mornings.
