So you want to make Gmail your default email client in windows 10 or windows 11. Its a pretty simple process and I will show you step by step on setting up your Gmail on Windows 11 machine, it will be the same for Windows 10.

Awesome Brian. I'd love to see a video on how to make ONE BROWSER the default one when clicking a link in an email. I use Firefox but if I see a link in Gmail it always opens Chrome. Is there a way to make everything open in Firefoxy?

Hi Brian, thanks again for the video. I have an issue in Windows 10. When I go to Apps, Default Apps, Set default by apps I don't have the option of 'Look for another app on this PC' when I want to change the .eml setting. Any suggestions where I am going wrong?

Very nice video. Been using Outlook2019 on Win10 Pro 64bit, with seven accounts running. It's worked very well, until, ..... I built a new machine and installed Win11Pro 64bit than installed Office 2019. The list of problems is LONG, and Outlook doesn't respond under Win11 as it did on Win 10. My question to you is: If I move over to Chrome for my GMail accounts, does what you covered allow for a Calendar??? (Been at this for 30+ yrs, MS never changes; terrible support, worse documentation, and even worse code.)

Please are you able to help with my Windows 10 issue. ? It’s regarding my internal disc drive and also a new external usb one I bought. The pc is not even two years old. At first the internal one did work then stopped. So I bought the external one which also worked at first. Now both are not reading any type of discs. I’ve tried many things mentioned on here but still no joy. Any ideas please before they both end up in the bin lol ? Many thx

Not quite the same for Win 10 but I got it done eventually. However, when I hit a mailto: link, nothing happens and when I try to share a KZbin video via email, all I get is a blank tab.

Can you please make a video on making yahoo mail the default mail. Gmail has a 15 gig limit . Yahoo does have a very much higher storage limit

I have a question nobody has been able to answer thus far, I share a router/wifi that belongs to 2nd flr tenant, the tenant also has its name on the internet service, and she keeps getting emails in her aol email address that should be going to me. Thanks Brian. I have noticed that within "Windows 10 Privacy Settings" under Email. If "Allow apps to access your email" and "Mail and Calendar/People" are not allowed or enabled. Error code: 0x8007139f my occur during this setup.

This is very helpful except in Windows 11 Settings, Microsoft Programmers have now totally F..ked-up the applet for choosing the client applicable for Mail People etc. in only allowing apps from the App Store for link types!!! Many use non-Outlook Desktop Clients. How do you set those in Settings?

Thanks but I ended up using eM client....Thunderbird was going nuts asking for certificates. And Outlook is too complicated....you have to use those advanced settings and \i just forgot what I did before.

​@@Britec09 Dear Britec09, This is not a joke reply. My Outlook Express "Message Store" is currently at 4.26 GB in size. I maintain it on my XP PC by compacting it manually and regularly (before the "Compact Check Count" gets to 100 in the registry) so I don't lose anything. I have emails going back to the last century - 1996! I also have a Windows 10 PC which I am using more and more, especially to access the sites that Chrome or Firefox cannot on the XP machine. But nowadays I really want to ditch the XP machine. So the question is "How do I transfer my Outlook Express data to a program on the Windows 10 PC?" I would really love it if you could make a video on the options to do this, i.e. which programs currently have all the features of Outlook Express, eg. Message Rules, Multiple Email Accounts, etc. If you could do that, I would be so grateful. P.S. I just noticed your pinned reply currently listed beneath mine, while I was typing - so this video was a "requested video"? Wow, that's fantastic!
