Dhal ingredients
In a pot add 12 cups of water
After water is hot
Add 2 cups of yellow split peas
Add 2 tsp salt
Add 2 small onions chopped into pieces
Add 7 cloves of garlic finely chopped
Add 1/2 hot pepper chopped into pieces
Add 1 tbsp roasted ground geera/cumin
Add 1 tbsp turmeric powder
Cook until split peas is melted
Swizzle the dhal after cooking it, to help any solid chunks to be melted
In a pan with 1 tbsp oil
Add 1 tsp whole geera/cumin
Add 2 cloves of thinly sliced garlic
Cook until garlic is nice and brown in colour
Add to the dhal for extra flavours
Goat preparation
In a blender add 4 green onions
Add 10 cloves of garlic
Add 5 mari wirrie peppers
Add 4 stems of fine thyme
Add 3 broad leaf thyme
Dried ingredients
Add 2 tsp duck and goat curry powder
Add 2 tsp turmeric
Add 2 tsp gara masala
Add 2 tbsp roasted ground greera/cumin
Add 2 tbsp curry powder
Mix blended seasoning with dried ingredients to make a paste
Add 1 tsp oil in a pot
Add curry paste
Cook for 2 minutes
Add 1/2 tsp salt
Add a little bit of water
Add 4 small onions chopped into small pieces
3 lbs of goat clean and washed , add 1 tsp salt and add 2 tsp blender seasoning
Add goat to the pot and cook until all natural water is evaporated
Add 2-3 cups of water and pressure meat for half an hour to 45 minutes
Enjoy with some dhal and rice
