I was wondering how do you warm up your lye? New soap maker here! And is it 75 grams or 275 grams of distilled water?
@NelsonInteriorSoapery4 ай бұрын
Hi there. You don’t need to warm up lye. Once water and NAOH are mixed it heats up . You want the lye to be cool to use it. If you check my newer videos I explain more

Is there a way to reduce trace increasing fastly with goats milk? I'd love to make a similar soap to this but with fragrances but I fear that will make it thicken up even faster.
@NelsonInteriorSoapery3 жыл бұрын
I use powder and it does not thicken to fast. I suggest the fragrance is slow moving like lavender or watermelon or alike. If you blend on low that also helps. I do very small bursts of blending then I mix and so on.

Hello, what can I replace.palm oil with ? Pls
@NelsonInteriorSoapery2 ай бұрын
You would need to put through soap calc. I no longer use palm oil
@vanessamaistry77572 жыл бұрын
Rhonda you mention running a recipe thru soap Calc but wudnt you require the percentage of lye and superfat to do that?
@NelsonInteriorSoapery2 жыл бұрын
No you don’t need that. Basically you put the oils I. And then soap calc will tell you the water and lye. Basically I keep to 5% SF and 26% of oils Then 20% coconut oil 9% cocoa butter 8% Shea 53% olive oil 2% caster oul 8% sweet almond Approximately

@@NelsonInteriorSoapery thank, appreciate your guidance ❤️❤️
@boop73132 жыл бұрын
@@vanessamaistry7757 Up the top of the soap calculator there should be thing that lets you click either percentages or grams (or whatever measuring metric used in a recipe you may find for instance ounces) , in this case pick gram then add in the oil quantities given and it'll then tell you the percentages and all that. You can play around with the water ratios too if you like to get it close to the recipe given. I hope this helps🙂 . Holly x

Why did my goat milk powder cause my batter to turn orange?
@NelsonInteriorSoapery7 ай бұрын
It does that but it will go back to white in several weeks time during curing. Its just a chemical reaction
