Yes the Glowforge will cut and engrave on leather. I have been told some fake leathers produce harmful fumes when used in a laser so I would say you have to have a well ventilated area.

Another great tutorial. I’m new to this ... looking to make and sell jewelry using my GF., You introduced me to mirrored acrylic. I’m experimenting ... what type of glue do you use for mirrored acrylic ... e6000 is showing through mirror. Manufacturer said to use 3m double stick tape. Not sure it will work with small jewelry pieces. I want to glue mirrored acrylic to wood. Also ... what do you use to wrap and package mirrored jewelry so it doesn’t scratch while shipping? Thanks again!!!
@TroytheMaker3 жыл бұрын
Thanks. The mirrored acrylic I use have a solid colored backing. I use e6000 for backs and acrylic solvent for edges. Hope this helps. I haven’t tried 3M tape yet.

Looks good. Could you have extended the "i" in Christiana and then added a curved line or something at the top to make it look like an "i" when you cut it? Also do you take custom orders?

Good observation. What I ended up doing trying way after this video was connecting the dot to the line, but engraved in between to give it separation.

Hey Troy, question for you. I am not a Corel user, but I am curious ....when you convert to curves you have a vector, so why do you turn into a bitmap to turn it back into a vector? I could be wrong but check your wireframe after you "convert to curves". Again curious and this could save you a few steps....maybe lol
@TroytheMaker4 жыл бұрын
I do that to add a "connector" for the jump rings. Sometimes the covert to vector removes the insides of certain letters like the O or B making it solid so making a copy and doing helps with those letters. I hope that make sense.
