First of all, they are not bands, it’s baling twine. Second of all it’s a knotter system on the back and a fork that comes up in the chamber every so many inches and ties a knot to end the bale and one to start the next bale then the same thing happens again and again

These bales are about 20 kg, so good to handle by hobby farmers. There are also big bales, they are more than 100kg. So you can only move them with machines.
