Kudos for the Video! Excuse me for chiming in, I would love your opinion. Have you thought about - Riddleagan Skillful Playing Remedy (just google it)? It is an awesome one of a kind guide for learning complex guitar chords and become a pro minus the hard work. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my friend Sam at very last got amazing success with it.

The most important thing is to listen to the music and find out what works for each part. Explore new music (jazz and all it's sub genres are often especially stimulating for revealing new patterns) and don't be scared of hitting occasional bum notes while practicing. If you play weird notes with conviction and don't "land" on them they can work really well in a run / lick.

so ive played guitar for almost 10 years, first peeked into scales after 2-3 years of playing, got lost, got frustrated, hated them with all my heart. Now, 8 more years later i find this channel, and my hate for scales grows to huge love and appreciacion :) thank you fretjam, uve changed my view on scales :)
@oPosiidon28006 жыл бұрын
SneakyRoninGaming I'm late but it took you 8 years to get back into scales? When I started it's what I practiced no matter if I hated it or not. Music theory is pretty easy once you grasp the concepts.

This is not a criticism. The way to make scales more musical is not to play them, scales being note-numbers 1-8 in that order. How do we make words from the alphabet when we learn it in order? We mix the letters up! Melodies are just mixed up note-numbers, following a rhythm. Or a scale is just a rather boring melody. Any combination of notes is worth practising, especially creative sequences. Music is all about imagination. There are no secrets, rules, or authorities. Good channel.

+David Marin I have home made guitar..They be pointy too.lmao...I actually look totally cool flicking drumming stcks while Im playing it...Catch it after I toss/spin it...during a roll then hitting the crash to start the beat cycle again...Especially with my long ass sweatie hair....You know chord stacking is EVERY OTHER NOTE...right???Try playing every other note going towards the nut or open chord position....It'll also get you use to seeing different chord shapes ( with the ROOT on different strings)...You know there's 35 basic modes...right ????Melodic minor, Harmonic minor, Major harmonics, Double harmonic minor, natural minor....Watch the other lessons. He'll show you how to VAMP the V chord....From there...you'll VAMP other chords or mix the 35 modes.
@fretjamguitar8 жыл бұрын
+David Marin Tone is important, but you also need a roadmap for a general sense of direction. I'll be sure to cover tone in future.
