The easiest and tastiest butter you’ll ever have!!
1 32oz box heavy cream
Salt to taste
Ice bath for rinsing
Mix cream in a stand mixer on level 4 for about 20-30 mins. Keep an eye on it the last 5-10 mins to be able to slow it down and stop it once the milk separates to avoid splashing. You can also keep the mixer covered with a clean towel to catch any splashing milk.
Separate butter from the milk and kneed until all buttermilk has been removed from butter. You will want to rinse it a couple times in the ice bath to be sure all milk has been removed.
Add in salt if desired and kneed until well combined tasting to know if you’ve added enough.
Store in an airtight container in the fridge or I keep mine on the counter in a butter dish because we go through it so quickly!
