How to make homemade carpet shampoo and spot remover

Instead of "xtra" concentrated dish soap, i have been buying the regular one in big bottles for the last 10 years. If you use too much of it, it doesn't become a foaming nightmare, that's the advantage. In the kitchen, i just load it up in a small IKEA glass hand soap dispenser with a lever for 1 EUR, and into a one-handed sponge push dispenser.

Wait, so nobody's been wearing shoes on that carpet? Just bare feet and/or socks? I mean if one floor or carpet is dirty then it will be trodden around, but still. I am actually surprised at how black that is without all the shit from outside coming off shoes and onto in it.
