I have been making Nilla Wafer original homemade banana pudding for 40 years. Do not need to do the double boiler. Mix all your ingredients together and make sure your egg yolks are beaten very well into the mixture. Now turn your heat on medium and no higher. Stir constantly until the pudding coats the back of a spoon. My mom didn't use a double boil so I never have. This is real banana pudding from the 50's.

Thanks for your nice comment. You are correct, however, it does depend on the kind of pan you are using to whether or not the pudding will stick. Maybe a non-stick pan may work fine. I appreciate your info. and you taking the time to watch and comment. Thankyou.
