Same. As an electronics guy, my thoughts are to somehow place a pulse at the sensor that senses steering wheel movement. Is it 5 vdc logic? Is it a sawtooth wave at a given frequency? Could the pulse simply be wired to the warning light that comes on every 10 seconds? Will Honda even have that info out on their wiring diagrams? Not sure. However, a water bottle is zero hassle. Gotta try it. I'm with ya, brother.

This is not a good idea, as we get closer to cars driving completely by themselves this model accord is not made to to drive on it's own. On top of that when using the Adaptive Cruise Control there is a defect that happens when the car has to break often, a "Collision Mitigation Breaking Problem" error pops up. Honda hasn't found a solution to this problem yet so please do not rely on this technology to drive the vehicle without the driver's attention.
