Great video George. You have inspired me to try beeswax in soaps other than the pine tar. I find some fragrance oils make the bars soft and this may be a great way to combat it. And you also told me about candelilla wax as a good vegan option. You are so wonderfully clever and helpful. You make us all better soapers. Xx thank you. Cass. Xx

Lovely formulation George. I haven’t tried it yet, but I can tell... Love the feel of your oils of choice, their hardness, the enriching additives, the aroma of sweetness, and the essential oil blend. You have an open heart, and you are precious. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Louisa from the UK. ☀️✨

@@DawnOrganics I'm a little worried about it cracking because I want to use oat milk, oat flour and honey but, since it's only for personal use, friends, family, etc. I guess it doesn't matter.

Leave it uncovered shouldn't crack at all 🙏

Hello , love your soap , thank you for sharing ! I made a beeswax and honey soap using 2 % beeswax and 3 % honey and it is a good hard bar with lots of lovely lather , with a lovely sweet natural scent as I didn't add in any essential oils. Thanks for all your tips in making natural soap, I've started adding brown sugar to my recipes now and have really noticed the difference in their lather and bubbles :) I also add in citric acid as we have very hard water where we live in UK. Thank you

Thanks for watching, that's great. These additives really make a big difference same for citric acid. I was tempted to try 2% beeswax but wasn't sure how it would behave with a steep water discount. I do love honey in soap, truly amazing skin feel 🙏🙏🙏

Hello George. Firstly this is another great soapy video instruction and demo. I have used beeswax several times, but not with honey (which I must do something about). My daughter breeds bees and makes honey for us to eat so I have no excuse not to use it in soap. Thank you for your lovely soaps that I ordered for Christmas gifts. Beautifully made as always! Also the aromatherapy candle is just divine. I am going to order some Dawn Organics body and lip balms to include with the soap gifts🎁. YourDawn Organics shop is so well set up and easy to navigate with something for everyone to spoil themselves, or gift to others.🦋🐾 Now I have a couple of your videos to catch up with that I have missed of late.

Greetings Marion. Oh that's so nice you should definitely try both together they are an amazing pair. Especially top quality honey and beeswax like I'm sure your daughters bees would produce. Thanks so much Marion very kind, I'm glad you like them and for the continued support over the years. Much appreciated 😊🙏🙏🙏

Just wanted to say that I love the comments and tips as much as the videos. Always so informative. I'm blessed to have a local honey beekeeper that has the most light colored and delicate flavored honey that I've ever had the pleasure to eat. Would be a lovely addition to soap. You inspire me ,George. I would like to add the honey in later to the recipe, about the same time as the fragrances. Just to preserve the beneficial properties, but want your opinion. Would that work?

Greetings Kathy, glad to hear you find them informative. Honey is amazing in soap. I don't see why you can't add them at that stage, I have read though if it's not blended in properly it can clunk up a little when chunks hit the lye. Can end up with blobs of honey when you cut the bars, like wet circle spots. Got to remember also the saponification reaction happens over the 24-48 hour period usually so even adding at trace won't make a difference it has a violent chemical reaction ahead of it. the only way really if it's hot process soap if you add the honey after the reaction has happened. I find melting it on low with the oils and making sure it's blended properly stops any issues or overheating. 🙏🙏🙏

Thanks for the video, George. I made such handmade soaps and found that they dont last long. Can you please let me know what are the things to keep in mind to make these soaps last long? Like additives or process?
@DawnOrganics5 ай бұрын
kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y3fUmmSvZ8xpopo You might find this useful, additives help a lot like salt, sodium lactate and a chelator like sodium gluconate. What oils are you using and their percentages?
@ps-bh9ct5 ай бұрын
@@DawnOrganics Thanks for sharing video link. Sodium lactate accelerates bar hardening duration right? than making the bar long last? Im using 25% coconut, 45% palm, 25% sunflower and 5% castor oil. Super fating 6%. I add sugar and salt.

Helloo, can you please mintion the recipe by gram. Thanks
@DawnOrganics Жыл бұрын
Hi there, I provide percentages in description, I don't provide recipe by weight for safety reasons, you should always run it through LyeCalc. it allows you to enter the recipe by percentage. I highly recommend you always do it even when someone provides you with weight in grams to avoid any human error or miscalculations 🙏
