How to Make Hydrochloric Acid at Home In Hindi || Make hydrochloric Acid from Table Salt in Hindi
Hey guys in this video I'm going to demonstrate how you can make Hydrochloric acid using glass bottles as your distillation appratus in hindi language.
The chemical which are used in this video are Sodium chloride (table salt) and sulphuric acid.The sulphuric acid used in this video is extracted from inverter battery.
These two chemicals are mixed in such a amount that they form a mixture the mixture is then transferred to a glass bottle and a another bottle is connected to the mouth of the bottle containing the mixture.
Sodium chloride (Table Salt) and sulphuric acid react to form hydrogen chloride vapour and Sodium bisulphate/ Hydrogensulphate or Sodium sulphate..
This reaction is usually performed using a glass retort but this is the most simplest way to get your hands on Hydrochloric acid.
However this is very time consuming and requires about 1 to 3 hours for complete distillation.
This method can also be used to purify sea water to drinkable water.

If you have obtained pure HCl, it should not react with magnesium because the absence of hydronium ions means there are no acidic properties. The reaction of magnesium with hydrochloric acid typically produces hydrogen gas and magnesium chloride, but this would not occur if the HCl is pure and lacks hydronium ions. Then how your acid reacted with mg I think something must be fishy....

First le me know what do you mean by "pure HCl " mine precursor to the acid were 35% battery grade acid and table salt. Its damn simple and nothing fishy still got a doubt i would recommend making it and then titrating it to know its concentration.

Hydrochloric acid means HCl gas is dissolved in H2O the sulphuric acid used is from battery shop which contains water the water evaporates and gets in contact with HCl.

Hmm not but as we know that hydrogen forms a explosive mix with air and my apparatus required heating hence I didn't think that it would be suitable for preparation. And concentration of H2O2 will also affect the amount of product.. here we have three products which may be difficult for a common man to separate in order to get HCl. Hypochlorous acid may also be converted to HCl H2O + Cl2 ----> HOCl + HCl HOCl -------> HCl + [O] But the concentration of this acid would be very low may be somewhat between N/10 And the above reaction is unbalanced sorry I didn't noticed it earlier but this doesnt take place at all .
