Thanks for doing this video. I just bought this exact same one at Aldi yesterday. I couldn't figure out how to get the lid off of the stainless filter . I kept trying to unscrew it, not realizing that it just pops off lol. But it's brewing now. Stoked to try the coffee in the morning!

You're welcome! I struggled with it longer than I'd care to admit. Good to see it's back on the aisles. It's going to taste amazing. Come back and let me know what you though!

@@WindyCityPeach it was really good! My first batch was kinda weak, but I made my next one a bit stronger, and it's stellar. I'm happy with my purchase:)

How funny. Me to so I looked it up here right away. I think that rubber piece is really tight

Try pouring your water over the coffee directly into filter once placed in the carafe. It gives a jumpstart to the cold brewing .

Do you get grounds in your coffee after you poor it?
@iceprincess825 Жыл бұрын
You have to use the other top with the strainer to pour it.

I cannot seem to get the lid off my steeping infuser any tips?

I use a butter knife to release the seal! I was so upset trying to get it off lol. It comes right off if you use a butter knife under the lid. Doesn't damage anything either. Just do it gently. :)

I bought this cold brew system by Crofton too and noticed that the coffee you're using doesn't say "coarse ground" like it suggests. Yours did come out dark, so I am taking my beans to the grocery store and having them ground to coarse and make it tonight. Thanks for your video though!!! 👌
@WindyCityPeach3 жыл бұрын
Good point!! My coffee tasted just fine but I agree you should use coarse coffee beans. You’re welcome. It was a steal of a deal on your typical coffee system so I’m glad it worked out. Let me know how yours turns out.

@@WindyCityPeach Thanks for the reply! I bought mine when they first were available at ALDI. Are they back again? I might go get another one as a back up. I washed mine tonight, added cold filter water..(are you supposed to fill the glass carafe to the top?) I used a Caramel Flavored ground coffee and it's already starting to look like it's "cold brewing". I hope it tastes as good as it's brewing. I'll let you know! 👍

@@1BethMcBeth it was a few months ago. And you know how it is- you may never see again. I filled my water up in the pitcher. It said 12 hours. You’ll have success in the morning. I’m going to try other flavors.

@@WindyCityPeach oh..I saw you just made this 3 weeks ago so I was hopeful that maybe ALDI still has them. I will go tomorrow.. Otherwise, I will look online. I also have a Toasted Coconut flavored coffee to try too!!! 😋

I currently us a French press and use a fine ground espresso coffee. I really like this thing, but don't want to have to change the coffee I use. Do I have to use a coarse grind? I have a sleep disorder that has me on meds that barely help, so I try to keep coffee in my veins at all times. LOL 🤣😆
@legendarygary27442 жыл бұрын
I tried my hand grinder on the largest setting, which was still finer than what you get with Folgers, etc. and most of the coffee just sifted through and fell to the bottom overnight. I’m currently trying it again with some Dunkin’ coffee grounds, I’ll try to let you know how that turns out.

I bought this thing last year and couldn't get the top off. I had to use an envelope opener to pop it up. I'm about to try it now so I can stop spending money to buy cold brew when I can make my own.
