Beautiful! I drink about a quart a day. I like your method. Mine, is cutting and with a small dedicated processor turn the chunks into pulp. And with a 3 qt pot of boiling water add the pulp and simmer . Then I strain and add my lime. No sugar. Makes a hot spicy tea first, then I store in a Glass covered jug in the fridge. Voila, glorious healthy drink of life!

Oh Jody, How I love a Jamaican accent. It's lovely and heart warming to hear your voice. I will use your method to add real ginger to the commercial ginger ale soda drinks. My sweet daughter is like her great-grandmother in being difficult about actually drinking any water. So, I need to hydrate my girl, but I would like the drink to have some actual healthy ginger inside of it, so I will top off my sweet girl with your ginger juice. At 7:44 when she says to add brown sugar I think she means raw sugar which is unrefined sugar. What you buy in the supermarket as brown sugar is usually refined sugar with molasses added.

If they can't get the bag you have they can use cheese cloth and line the bowl it come so you can cut the size you need. Love the drink. Keep up the good work girl.

I think she's referring to raw sugar. Not the brown sugar used for baking. That's just refined white sugar with molasses. Get organic raw sugar, honey or Stevia.
