@@YUCasJapaneseCooking I made some for me and my girlfriend and we loved it! I also added some furikake to the rice. I was having a hard time making the rice into triangles but I’ll get there with more practice!
@YUCasJapaneseCooking4 жыл бұрын
@@nicolasmcdonald4117 Yes, making triangle shape might be a bit challenging at first but please enjoy practicing~~~! 🍙 Additional furikake sounds yummy, too! By the way, you made onigiri for your girlfriend! You are so nice and kind boyfriend!!! ⭐️

2:23 I wonder how difficult it is to distinguish between normal and burnt
@YUCasJapaneseCooking3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your question! If it suddenly turns a dark brown to black color and smells like burning, lift the pan immediately and please stir quickly! It's going to take some fine tuning!

I just watched a show on Netflix and saw someone eating this dish but they called it cats rice 🍚. I enjoyed your video I'm a chef 👨🍳 and enjoy learning more types of foods. And your instructions were great...new fan. Looking forward to more of your videos

Thank you so much for your warm message! It is said in Japan that cats love dried bonito flakes called “Katsuobushi” and that’s why the dish with Bonito flakes on top of rice is called Neko-manma (Cat’s food). Thank you for subscribing my channel! 😉 Looking forward to introducing many recipes for you!!

Excellent recipe and video Though it would be nice if the video specified the amount of bonito flakes in weight instead of measuring it by a "handful"
