They turned out really pretty. I like the zigzag finish around the outer edge of the covers.

Thank you Dragana for sharing this helpful tutorial on how to turn a recycled cereal box into a beautiful junk journal. I'm happy to say my stash of cereal boxes is growing (lol) and my first 'box' journal cover has now begun. Anxious to move to step #2. Many thanks! 💗

Oh, you're very welcome Karen! Those cereal boxes come in really handy. My stash is a bit low, I guess I use them up fairly quickly, lol. I'm very happy that you enjoy watching and creating! Thank you so much 😊❤️

Hi Dragana...once again, these covers are amazing! I really do like how you finish everything off so neatly, and it's all coordinated. Your machine stitching is so nice too. I love the idea of putting some ribbon through the trim on the spine to cover the binding. I have watched the videos of the completed journals 1 & 2 - they are so beautiful. Now I'm off to watch journal 3 be completed. Thanks for the detailed tutorials! 😸

I really love your techniques; this may become my go-to method for journal covers. Do you have an industrial sewing machine? Just wondering about sewing through the paper and cardboard with a regular machine.
@Saacibo4 күн бұрын
I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I don’t have an industrial machine. I have a 50 year old Bagat machine that can easily go through jeans and journals and a Brother Strong and Tough ST371HD. 😊

@@Saacibo Thank you for that information! I've also already made two journal covers using your method and absolutely love them. Easy and fun, and great results.

Why tape and glue? Cant you just use one or the other?
@Saacibo3 жыл бұрын
You're probably referring to the third cover that I made, landscape version. To construct that one, I had to use tape to join spine to the cover because there were 3 separate parts. I used glue to double up cardstock, because it wasn’t thick enough.
