A big deal indeed, it’s been so exciting watching you put all your passion and dedication into making such a unique blend, whilst honouring Kyphi’s origins as authentically as possible. I really wish we could all smell the results too, come on technology 😂

When just the dry ingredients were mixed together it looked like pemmican 💚 This was so fun to watch 😍 Thank you for including us in your process, Theia. It was special and beautiful. Wish we could smell it 💚 The patchouli coating sounds good, the pine too 😍

Yesss Patchouli sounds like it's going to be the first coating according to votes alone. Might do a few in pine resin, just because that's got a particular tie to Greece for me, they make a wine with pine resin called Retsina (Which I LOVE) and using it as the resin coating would be super special too. So prlly both I think. xx

Thank you so much Anna! It was a lovely respite from the pace of the world actually... will have to find other projects that provide the same 'pause' and satisfying outcome. xx

Thank you so much for sharing your process. They look amazing! I'm excited to roll my Kyphi. I just have one dry ingredients to do yet and then I can begin the final rolling. I plan on using mine all the time also...LOL There is another lady I have been watching and she cures her Kyphi for like a few months and then begins the rolling process, she makes huge batches and sells them. I don't want to go that route however I am wondering on the curing time period. I think the longer the curing time the longer the shelf life of the Kyphi. I want to use it outside in my yard also. I loved this so much. 😍

I can't wait to see you finish yours up too! You're gonna love the smell oh my gosh! The three month curing time is super interesting, but makes sense because my batch has been 'drying' for like a week and still doesn't seem anywhere near ready. I think i'll end up using the dehydrator just to be safe.

I've left incense drying for up to 12 months. Slow, slow drying in the airing cupboard. I love your food dehydrator plan though- modern craft at its best!!:)

You have made real Magick. !! Watching your ecstasy as your spirit danced with the aromatic lifeforces has been an absolute pleasure. I've been smiling the whole way. I made incense back in the nineties- (I'm an older witch!) It was totally thrilling to roll up my sleeves and join with mother nature in making such treasures. I plan to do a batch in the next month- but using local ingredients- like you did with your Cedarwood. I live in New Zealand, so am planning to experiment with some native species. I'm thinking I should be able to find roots, bark and resins with aroma.. we definitely have our own wine, honey and raisins. But the dates will be Middle Eastern! I would love to know if you decided to make bigger, different shaped Kyphi? How long do your wee balls burn for? ...congratulations on such dedicated effort. !! Blessed Be.x Ziggy
