Try using one of these and a bridge rectifier. iranmls.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/RM9003A-Datasheet.pdf. That does the whole job for just a few cents.

this is BS. Max practical current is about 100mA, so you are lucky to get a few Watts*. The input cap determines the current. Furthermore this is a DANGEROUS circuit - it is mains live. *you will NOT get max brightness unless the LEDs are operated near their rated current which is very unlikely with this circuit. This is a dismal copy of a standard circuit - done and presented without any knowledge and understanding.

Input and output resistors 15 ohm and 1 ohm resistors are of 1w and both 470k resistors are half watt
