Great video thank you! Does the plastic cover fit on after the electronics are in? Doesn’t seam to be enough room and will look bad if wiring is exposed. Thanks!

Awesome vid!! I didn’t know about the tilt switch! I’ll definitely be using that on some prints!!! Not sure if your on mystery makers patreon but I think he updated the range finder to accept a small screen too!! Not 100% it was from them but I’ll check! It does exist though lol!

O-yeah, I found my first Star Wars helmet to build. I wonder if there is a way to put a servo and make the rangefinder swing down on its own?
@Darkwingdad2 жыл бұрын
You definitely can! Look up mystery makers 3D patreon he has the file, it’s on my to do list!

This is good stuff. Are you able to share where you got the STL file for the range finder itself? Ive been looking but unable to find a version that accepts the leds. No problem paying for it if its not free.
@Darkwingdad2 жыл бұрын
It is a mystery makers stl. You’ll have to contact marko directly, he just made a servo gear option as well. If you’re not on Facebook I can get you his email

I'm so glad I found your video on this project. I plan to follow your build here with red leds for my rangefinder. Your link to the resistor on Amazon defaults to the 120ohm option. Based on your calculations, did you use a 56ohm resistor?
@Darkwingdad2 жыл бұрын
You can use either a 50-60ohm per led OR just wire in a 120ohm off the battery, this way it will be equally divided amongst each led (60 per led) if you can find 60ohms and wire it to each that is fine too
