Thanks so much for this tutorial, Matt! Honestly, I never knew about the extended functionality of the FL's default Sampler plugin that you mentioned, like being able to detect the tempo of a beat or using the Stretch option to have it match the project tempo. This video was full of useful information, and it's all explained in a comprehensive manner that's easy to follow along with. Excellent work!

Yo this is quite frankly one of the best tutorials I've seen on FL Studio. Very beginner friendly but even intermediate producers can learn something from this. The vibe u got just makes me wanna watch more. I feel like this channel is gonna go big hehe

"mess around until it sounds good" i need it on a shirt xD beautiful tutorial and great to see you again! I wish Slicer didn't look like it was used to help in the first moon landing tho

LOL yeah it's an old program but it's definitely the easiest to use for beginners. And I realize I always say 'mess around until it sounds good' in my tutorials. If I ever have merch that's 100% going on a shirt!

Matt, is sampling your primary means of beatmaking?
@MattMakesMusic12 жыл бұрын
Hey! I'd say I sample more now than I used to. Imo sampling gives you a more authentic sound and I like the 'chopped' sound of sampled beats. When I'm making music from scratch it gets pretty hard to make the piano vst sound "real". But the benefit of making a song from scratch is that you can literally make whatever you want. I want to buy an electric guitar and start making music with that. Sorry for the ramble lol
@dreamcity75142 жыл бұрын
@@MattMakesMusic1 No it totally makes sense, like you prefer the style from when it originated instead of the "Lofi Girl" sound we have now?
@MattMakesMusic12 жыл бұрын
@@dreamcity7514 yes i definitely prefer that style over stuff now

Yo Matt, that Tommy guy that you recommended puts in his songs' description that they are NOT royalty free, did you lie in the video?
