I'm glad it helped! Keep practicing and you'll get better at them. They're sort of like logic games. With practice and repetition you can go from 0% to 100% eventually. Diagrams are hard at first, but they're one of the most learnable parts of the LSAT! Good luck :)

this is super helpful but what I don't understand is the assumption of "if it has a tail then its a cat" when the statement is "if its a cat then it has a tail" this same concept trips me up on all my practices so far..

Good question! So, "if" is a sufficient indicator, and what follows if is the sufficient condition. Your first sentence is "T --> C", while the second is "C --> T". So although both sentences use the same words, the meaning is completely different! It's like how I could say "I'm in Canada" and "I'm in Canada?". They look the same, but because of the symbol, we know the second one is a question. So, treat "if" almost like punctuation. It really truly changes the structure and meaning of a sentence!
